Started by  Xircila and helped by  legolopi12345, Novatown is a work-in-progress soon-to-be settlement inside a large mesa biome.

History

When  Xircila started out on the server, she had one dream: to start her own town. After announcing her plans to see if any others were interested, she came across  legolopi12345. She looked on the server map for a location. After searching for a while, she found a mesa biome on the far south side. The duo traveled to the location, trying to stick together. They discussed town name plans, and  Xircila had two ideas: Charmville, inspired by the nickname of her second-favorite city (Baltimore), and Novatown, inspired by her love of space. They settled on Novatown. After failing at sticking together during the 7,000 block journey to the site,  Xircila made it first, and started to make plans for the visitor center.

Facts

Novatown is not exactly open yet. Block lag has made build progress slow, but will open to the public as soon as the visitor center is built.

When completed, Novatown will be completely open to the public and anyone can come build their home or any public buildings or shops they want without having to apply.

Instead of ugly buildings being torn down, residents of Novatown will have the option to have their homes "prettied up" by Xircila (or maybe other, more talented builders who would like to) for free. It won't be gorgeous, but it will certainly be acceptable.

Location

Novatown is located far South, about a 7,000 block walk/swim from the nearest warp.
