What is the Petrification Event?
The month of March 2022 is that time when 
Terrain_Master_Flippeh began to denounce those who stuck a claim on his land. During this period, Nexus Borderland Hubs began appearing on the map in a broken down and destroyed state. Through currently unknown means, a Terrain Dragon spawned presumably at the location of a Borderland hub, and once that dragon was vanquished, that respective Borderland hub was restored and became fully functional.
Timeline (or important milestones during this event)
May 24th, 2021
- Terrain_Master_Flippeh makes his first appearance on the server, alongside the other members of the "Flippeh_Fam"
~Sometime between August 21st and 30th, 2021
SketchyPixel notices a glass platform in the middle of an ocean in the then-newly expanded 1.12 terrain with the text "RESERVED FOR ADMIN USE"
~March 12th, 2022
- Terrain_Master_Flippeh makes an in-game appearance on the server, possibly teasing a new event stating, "This flippeh is busy getting his plans together"
- Nexus Borderlands Hubs began appearing across Freedonia in a dilapidated, broken down state.

xerosmythe vanquishes the first Terrain Dragon at Nexus Borderlands Hub Light Blue 3
~March 16th, 2022
- xerosmythe defeats the second Terrain Dragon at Nexus Borderlands Hub Red 2

Discord Channel Names
Along with the above changes in the game, the name of the Discord #general channel was changed multiple times for this event. The changed names recognizably match the runes from the Enchanting Table, although not very precisely since those characters are not part of the normal character set, and are synthesized here by Combining Diacritical Marks.
Here is the list of when each new name appeared, and what the word decoded to:
- March 9th: OCTOGRAM
- the raw text of the channel name was not captured before it had already been changed
- March 11th: BEASTS

There was some debate about some of the precise translations; after the second one was decoded, an admin spoke on the issue:
