Socorro is a settlement in the North Western Ocean, founded on April 5th, 2019 by KingServal, EastDakota, and 
Snakyman. It is a plot based city focused on Western and modern architecture. One of the largest settlements in server history, it is steadily growing, especially from revitalized efforts from the town staff. The town is a great starter town for noobs due to its numerous farms and economic opportunities, and is great for more established players as it has server landmarks such as the largest casino on the server alongside being a hub for the financial and historical industries.
Town History
Beginnings (April 2019- Late-2020):
Socorro was founded on April 5, 2019 when KingServal and snakyman were building Route 69. Originally planned to be a rest stop, KingServal realized the potential of the area for there to be a great town. With EastDakota, King constructed the town's first structure, the town hall. Soon, East constructed his building in the town square (now demolished). The next day, King invited RPS_DA_BEAR and ScarClaw72. RPS built the Grapevine publishing HQ, while Scar constructed a house right across the HQ. Days later, King expanded the town and invited players. Meanwhile, EastDakota decided to step down from his role in the town to pursue other things.After this, KingServal appointed 76x as vice mayor, until he got banned on June 14, 2019 upon realization he was a 
SailBird alt. KingServal would continue town expansion, with work on the town museum and help from individuals like 
ickyacky assisting with building the Lucky 38.
Slowdown(Late-2020-March 2025):
The seat was left incumbent until KingServal appointed 
jriver_15 to the office in 2020. By this time, KingServal was busy with some other things on the server and real life stuff as well, with few new residents and developments in the city. This would be exacerbated when he took an almost 2 year break in mid-2023, leaving the town abandoned with very few new residents from Vice Mayor development.
Revitalization (March 2025-Present):
KingServal came back to the server in early 2025, wanting to revisit the server he had called his Minecraft Home. With that, he decided to finish what he started. He appointed BuffaloBom and 
CaptainIceman to Vice-Mayors, finished building the KJ Bank exterior, and rapidly expanded the town's Embassy District and plots,enabling dozens of new players to join. Socorro as it stands is on the path to be the largest player settlement, alongside developing dozens of new businesses and paving a shining path for the server of what a settlement should be.
Town Plans
Socorro is primarily based on the American West, both modern and 19th century, as reflected in the buildings. Town Square, the location of city hall and other buildings, like a saloon, publishing company, and houses, is the main center of town. Major WIP builds are a museum, bank, and The Lucky 38.

What does Socorro offer?
Besides being an excellent Nexus hub, Socorro is a great spot to live and do fun activities. It has many farms, and also a lot of businesses. It is a great town for both beginners and experienced players alike. It is the town with one of the largest amount of embassies from other groups and settlements, with about a dozen all represented within the borders of Socorro, making it excellent for networking and gaining greater aspects into the MCO Community.
Directions to Socorro
Socorro is very easy to enter. There are 4 main transportation methods and they are: Nexus, walking,railway, and boats. Below are all of the ways to enter Socorro, whichever seems nicest to you is what you should do. It should be noted that the Nexus is the fastest way in and out, though.
Nexus(Recommended):
1. Take Nexus Northwest (Purple) 3
2. On the third right stall it will say Socorro!
Walking: (Closest Route)
1. Go to Forrrest using /warp Forrrest
2. Turn around,and head to the Numington Town / Route 69 tunnel.
3. When you emerge go right, to the Icekansen (Remember to bring food)
4. Keep following until you reach Route 69, then continue until you reach Socorro!
Railroad to Socorro:
Socorro has one main railway connecting it to the mainland of Freedonia, which goes through the Phoenix Isles. Socorro is one of the farthest-reaching areas in the entire railroad network.
1. At Phoenix Isles, go onto all Westbound trains until you reach the end of the city metro line. There should be a sign saying Socorro, stay on that line.
2. Enjoy the ride! It is mostly underground with parts closer to Socorro having an ocean-view bubble!
By Boat:
1. Go on a boat and steer it until you reach the shores of Socorro. (Following the boat route).

Includes people who've built a house, building, embassy, own/owned an apartment, have sethomed,contributed massively to a build, or have had ownership of a plot at one point.
It should be noted that new residents and their dates of entry prior to March 2025 are less definitive and murky in the precise dating of entry.
