The Double Trouble Invasion, also known as the February 2023 FitMC-SalC1 Invasion, is a player influx which started on February 11th 2023. On that day, a Minecraft Youtuber getplayerhead.sh?Fit&16.png Fit uploaded a video on the hack operations that had taken place on MinecraftOnline a month prior. A day later on February 12th, a fellow Minecraft Youtuber getplayerhead.sh?SalC1&16.png SalC1 created a video on the declining state of the server. These two videos together drew many new players to the server. Due to the short time between the two uploads, it's better to think of these separate "events" as one.

On top of this, SalC1 live-streamed a Q&A session with admin getplayerhead.sh?doublehelix457&16.png doublehelix457 the next day (as announced in his video), and players, knowing Sal was using an alternate account, flocked to wherever he goes, typically through old Nexus towns. This made the server extremely unstable, so much so that the player capacity could not be reached before the server crashed.

MinecraftOnline server suffered from a DDoS attack on the 16th, resulting in rate limit and later stoppage of the in-game server connection itself from Mojang’s authentication server. Admins temporarily took down the server for 5 hours to patch the timeout system to prevent similar kind of mass traffic flood.

Due to all the issues brought to the viewer's attention, several people rushed into the server's Discord to moan about how the server is outdated and could be fixed by updating the server and the server's plugins or switching to more optimised plugins, but without knowing that the 1.19.3 update is planned, and the fact that many server plugins are no longer updated by the original developers.
