DB Standard

The Diamond Block Standard or DB Standard, also known simply as the diamond-based economy, is the unofficial (yet current dominant) monetary system of the Freedonian economy. While resources such as emeralds, gold & even iron once served as currencies in the same way, they slowly fell out of favor over time as each of them became farmable.

Diamonds and diamond blocks (DBs) are, hence, the most widespread currency in Freedonia.

DB Standard alternatives are non-standard currencies (on the monetary side) and direct item trade (the main component of the non-monetary side of the Freedonian economy).
