Checkered snowfall generation is a world generation glitch found on MinecraftOnline where snow will only fall in every other chunk, leaving a natural checker pattern on the ground. This atmospheric anomaly first appeared with the 1.12.2 world expansion. This glitch has been noted to have at least six instances throughout the server, mostly located near the world borders.

Unfortunately, because of the 'Rain Day' of August 4th of 2025, one instance of the glitch (2348 64 21721) has began to disappear slowly due to the newly-falling snow. It's very likely that other sites will begin disappearing too, mainly the one on Valheim (-6145 64 -18102). This Rainy Day started on Day 46300 until Day 46400.
