The Freedonia Railway Co. is a failed enterprise which sought to create high-speed public rail lines. Headed by Zymes, the FRC was plagued with troubles from the outset. Many hours were spent discussing grand plans for stations, depots and exchanges. The overall scope of the project grew rapidly, but not one single track of rail was ever laid.
The FRC suffocated under its own weight. The grandiosity of the plans sounded great on Teamspeak, but precluded any actual work from getting done. The lessons learned from the failures of the FRC helped to shape the philosophy of the Freedonia Railway System which was to follow, and would succeed where the FRC had failed.
