Planters plant items nearby into a space provided given that the thing being planted can go there. MCZ216 is similar to MCX216 but is self-triggered so will always collect plant items dropped nearby (if it has a spot to plant them) and does not require any input or power.
They can plant:
- Saplings (use damage value for different types or no damage value for any sapling it can find).
- Seeds (wheat seeds).
- Potato (not baked or poisonous ones though).
- Carrots.
- Pumpkin seeds.
- Melon seeds.
- Netherwart (requires soulsand to be planted on).
Details
- Third line
- Specifies the type of item to be planted, if damage is left blank it will use any type of that item.
- Fourth line (optional)
- Vertical offset of where the item is planted. If left blank it will be assumed 1, meaning above the block the sign is on.

Will plant seeds above the block the sign is on. Note it will only plant crops if the block is farmland.

Will plant items with id 6 and damage 1 (spruce sapling) onto a dirt or grass block 2 blocks above the block the sign is on.
