MinecraftOnline's custom Resource Pack features multiple sets of custom painting packs. These allow players to decorate their builds with a uniquely Freedonian style, offering more variety and personality than the standard Minecraft paintings.
To use these custom painting packs, simply rename one or more painting items in an anvil to the corresponding title, then place them repeatedly until you achieve the desired artwork.
Creating A Pack
- Anyone is welcome to make painting packs, but they must be at the proper resolution to work properly. To create a pack, it is recommended players start with an existing texture file and then resize screenshots or manually paint on top of it. For aspiring artists, be aware that the rather low resolution of these paintings can make creating identifiable pictures rather difficult. Some tips include searching for unique silhouettes when taking source pictures, and finding objects relevant in scale to the painting size.
- Each pack is generally themed around a specific topic as well. Although variety packs may be accepted, so far we have tried to keep them unified.
- Once finished, send the file to a developer who can implement it into the resource pack at their convenience.
