Presidential Succession Act of 2019

Resolved, that The presidential succession line shall be as follows;

1.Speaker of the House of Representatives

2.President Pro Tempore of the Senate

3.Cabinet members in order of the creation of their respective organizations

Beerstown Statehood Act

- Will grant Statehood and all rights therefore guaranteed by the Verico Constitution to the Colony of Beerstown, to be thereafter known as the State of Beerstown (herein referred to as “State”), upon the consent of the Governor thereof.

- Will provide that an election board be available in the State for its citizens.

- Will assign one District and therefore one Member of Parliament to the State.

- Will ensure that the office of Governor of the State will be popularly elected by the people of the State on the 20th of every other month so that such an election would be held one month after the Verico Republic Presidential Election.

2021 Rosenberg -Verico Bridge Act

- Will authorize the construction of a bridge between the States of Verico and Rosenberg.

- Will grant permissions necessary to fulfill construction of the bridge to the Governor of Rosenberg .

- Will allow for the Governor of Rosenberg to further extend these permissions to other Vericans as is necessary.

VBI/FBI Merger Joint Resolution

Resolved that the Republic of Verico and the Ministry of Luv thereunder consent to the merger of the Verico Bureau of Investigation (VBI) and the foreign entity known through the Minecraftonline.com #ingame chat to be the Freedonian Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the leader thereof being the user TurtleCobra. The merger should take place pursuant to the co-consented terms hereunder:

- The FBI merges its assets into the VBI

- The newly merged organization will be the Bureau of Investigation under the Ministry of Luv

- The name “Freedonian Bureau of Investigation (FBI)” will be retained for common usage and the external identification of the organization.

- The former leader of the FBI TurtleCobra becomes the Director of this Bureau of Investigation.

- The former Director of the VBI jriver_15 becomes the Secretary of this Bureau of Investigation under the Director hereinabove.

Build Competition Commission Act

- The Verico Build known as the Heart of Freedonia shall be submitted to the ongoing build competition occurring on the MCO subreddit as a contestant.

- The individual commissioned to submit the Build in the form of photos and a post therein shall be @Beeraeka.

- Any rewards acquired as a result of the Build’s performance therein shall be appropriated to the development of the Build.

Rosenburg Bridge Joint Resolution of September 2021

To better connect the State of Rosenburg to the Verico nexus and improve infrastructure,

Resolved, 1. that a raised ice-highway bridge be built connecting the entrance to the nexus within the Heart of Freedonia and the State of Rosenburg;

- 2. That this bridge will follow the rough path as is outlined on the aerial view of the site in the attached file.

- 3. That the bridge will in no way alter the Heart of Freedonia in terms of removing blocks thereof.

- 4. That the bridge will build a staircase abutting the road starting at the nexus exit of the Heart of Freedonia to ascend to a level so as to not interfere with other builds.

- 5. That the necessary permissions needed in order to carry out clauses 1-4 be granted and Extended by the president, upon his signing, to the Governor of Rosenburg.

Election Act of September 2021

To standardize the system of voting in the Republic of Verico and each State’s citizens’ access thereto,

Be it enacted: 1. That a voting board be built in the State of Rosenburg for the use of its citizens in voting in Republic and State elections;

- 2. That the Elections Bureau and its officers be delegated the necessary permissions to build the aforementioned board in a location in the State of Rosenburg with the advice and assistance of the Governor thereof;

- 3. That a recorded citizen of a State, having placed a sign on the citizenship board therein and agreed to the Constitution and Laws of that State and the Republic, may place one sign on the voting board in that State,  casting their vote for any eligible elections occurring in and/or for that State and/or the Presidential election if applicable;

- 4. That an election be considered eligible for a citizen to vote in when such election is presently in time according to the term limits and the date of previous election for that office;

- 5. That a citizen of a State may cast a vote for an eligible Representative election for the District in that State in which the citizen’s house/main residence is located;

- 6. That a single citizen may only cast one vote for each Presidential election across any and all ballot signs cast in the State(s) where such citizenship is held;

- 7. That, when such elections are eligible, the name printed on the top line of a ballot sign be a vote in the Presidential election of the Republic, the name printed on the second line from the top thereof be a vote in the Gubernatorial election of the State wherein the sign was placed, the name printed on the third line from the top thereof be a vote in the Republic Senate election from the State wherein the sign was placed, and the name printed on the fourth line from top and last line thereof be a vote in the Republic Representative election for the District in the State wherein the sign was placed that has such a name running for election.

- 8. That all the voting boards in the Republic be cleared of all ballot signs from the past election day only after three hours before the upcoming election day but before the first ballot sign is cast on such board(s) in the upcoming election.

- 9. That the Elections Bureau and its officers shall have the permissions, authority, and duty necessary to track and communicate the eligibility of elections defined in clause 4 herein, to collect intents to run for elections and announce subsequent candidates for such elections, to perform the actions provided for in clause 8 herein, to count the votes for all Republic and gubernatorial elections and announce the winners thereof, and to edit the instructions of the voting boards to be in line with this Act.

Election Act of December 2021

To better ensure the legitimacy of elections in the Republic:

Be it enacted, 1. That the use of the current elections boards will be terminated;

2. That a citizen of a State may place a ballot sign during election that shall be on and in front of the sign on that State's citizenship board which that citizen has previously placed during Naturalization.

3. That, with the consent of the governors of the States, the elections boards in the States be decommissioned and the citizenship boards be updated with new instructions relevant to clause 2 hereabove.

4. That the instructions reinforce that a sign may only be placed on a citizen's respective citizenship sign and placing a ballot sign on another citizenship sign is addition grief prosecutable by the Freedonian officials.

5. That the Director of Elections or a Secretary of Elections upon the consent and advice of the Governor thereof modify a State’s citizenship board and decommission its voting board to be in line with the above provisions.

Verican Remodeling Joint ‘Mega’ Resolution

To improve the structures and appearance of the State of Verico,

Resolved, 1. That the Commission on Verican Construction be created to stimulate and regulate any public projects occurring within the State of Verico;

2. That the Commission may, by unanimous resolution of its members, extend permissions to any build(s) within the State of Verico by wielding the combined power of its members;

3. That the Prime Minister of the Republic be a member of the Commission and its Chairman;

4. That the President of the Republic be a member of the Commission;

5. That the individual named Beeraeka in Article Twenty-two of the Constitution be a member of the Commission;

6. That the Governor of the State of Verico be a member of the Commission;

7. That the Chief Justice be a member of the Commission;

8. That each of the above listed members must approve this resolution after it passes through Law for it to be in effect;

9. That the modification of builds in the State of Verico by an officer of the Republic operating on , including the President, without the approval of the Commission shall be a crime punishable by removal from office and prosecuted at the discretion of the Commission and by the Impeachment and Conviction by Parliament under Article Twenty-eight of the Constitution;

10. That clause 9 of this Resolution be not construed to indemnify any officer of the Republic or any other player from liability under Article Thirteen of the Constitution.

Rosenburg Rail Connection Act of May 2022

To connect Rosenburg and the Republic to the new town of Dusty Junction and the FRS

Be it enacted, 1. That the rail connection be built in a path similar to the route marked in red on the enclosed image;

2. That the player Flamehaze97 shall have the necessary permissions from the Republic to fulfill clause 1 of this act;

3. That the President, on the behalf of the Republic, place a sign at the Rosenburg terminal of the proposed connection stating that Flamehaze97 has permissions there;

4. That Flamehaze97 place a sign next to the sign from clause 3 of this act stating the Republic of Verico has permissions there;

5. That the provisions in clause 1 and 2 of this act may not be put into effect until the fulfilment of clauses 3 and 4.

Rosenburg College Charter Act

-Be it enacted that

  -The Parliament of the Republic of Verico hereby establishes the Rosenburg College as part of the University of Verico system

  -That the College shall be governed by the Republic of Verico government, whereas the head of the College shall be appointed by the president and approved by the Senate

  -That the president of the College shall oversee operations and curriculum

  -That graduates shall be recognized as graduates of Rosenburg College, possessing a Bachelor's degree

  -That the construction of the campus shall be directed by the president of the College, aided by the governor of Rosenburg

Election Joint Resolution of October 2022

or, a Joint Resolution setting the constitutionally created numbers concerning the apportionment of districts for Representative elections

WHEREAS, Section 4 of the 3rd Constitutional Amendment creates the first Number and the second Number used in the apportionment of Representative districts to the States; and

WHEREAS, The same Section provides these numbers be set by law.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the first Number used in the apportionment of Representative districts to the States be set to 15; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the second Number used in the apportionment of Representative districts to the States be set to 20; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Bureau of Elections is empowered to execute the calculation and appropriation of districts as provided by the Constitution and this Resolution.

Government Seat and Server Act

To codify in Law the operation of the Server hosting the government

Be it enacted, 1. That the Discord Server corresponding to the following Discord Server Invite Link be enshrined in Law as the official Seat of Government and Server of the Republic of Verico: https://discord.gg/W9TZqmv6zC;

2. That the Server maintain channels for both Houses of Parliament, the Supreme Court, the cabinet, community discussion, and announcements, among others;

3. That the administrator permission be given to the roles of President and Prime Minister in the Server that shall be held by their respective office holders;

4. That the role designating the Speaker of the House of Representatives be duly given to the same, bestowing upon that officer holder the ability to manage the channel of the House of Representatives;

5. That the role designating the President Pro-Tempore of the Senate be duly given to the same, bestowing upon that officer holder the ability to manage the channel of the Senate;

6. That a State may officially host its government and other functions on a separate Discord server so long as the President and Prime Minister are given the administrator permission;

7. That other roles for and reflective of other office holders or groupings of people be made and maintained as seen fit to emulate reality by those with the necessary discord permissions;

8. That the title of Custodian of the Server be bestowed upon the player Beeraeka with the associated discord account corresponding to the following discord user ID: 526232488855470090;

9. That the Custodian as owner of the Server will have the responsibility of ensuring that the clauses herein are met;

10. That members may be banned or kicked from the discord for spam, posting inappropriate content not protected under free speech, or for breaking Discord’s terms of service;

11. If these clauses are breached by the Custodian or civil function is otherwise obstructed, citizens and officials may meet in Freedonia and through ingame chat to conduct these functions;

12. That upon a Custodian’s Impeachment and Removal, parliament shall by law provide for a new Custodian and for the creation of a new discord server should the former Custodian refuse to transfer ownership.

Record Act

To establish a record of all Laws passed by the Republic and to increase the availability of the Constitution

Be it enacted, 1. That all Laws previously passed by Parliament be collected, ordered chronologically, and organized by month into the Republic of Verico Statutes-at-Large;

2. That each successive parliament add on to the Statutes-at-Large the Laws passed in their month;

3. That the joint session of both houses of parliament meeting for the purpose of clause 2 occur on the 19th of each month in the chamber of the House of Representatives and be called and chaired by the Speaker;

4. That, if the parliament fails to meet according to clause 3 or otherwise fails to approve their addition to the Statutes-at-Large, the responsibility of approval will fall on the next parliament;

5. That the Statutes-at-Large be readily available and copied to a page on MinecraftOnline.com’s wiki;

6. That the Statutes-at-Large may be abbreviated ‘Stat.’

7. That a written book or books be written on Freedonia containing the text of the Constitution of the Republic of Verico and the Amendments thereto;

8. That those official books be signed by the current President and named according to their contents;

9. That any future Amendments to the Constitution be added to new editions of the books, any necessary being signed by the current President upon such Amendment’s ratification;

10. That copies of these books be made and distributed for various purposes;

11. That the Bureau of Records be created under the Directorship of player jriver_15 and within the Department of the Admiralty;

12. That, unless otherwise provided, the Bureau of Records will execute all necessary provisions herein.

Contracting Act of December 2022

To enable the President to recruit additional labor to conduct his duties

Be it enacted, 1. That the President may recruit private citizens to assist in projects to which the former has approved permissions to;

2. That the President may recruit non-citizens to assist in projects to which the former has approved permissions to;

3. That recruited contractors from the above clauses may assist by breaking or placing blocks within the scope of the project's approved permissions;

4. That recruited contractors may only work while the President or a Minister is present at the project site;

5. That recruited contractors may be terminated by the President or have their permissions Suspended by the same or a presiding Minister;

6. That the recruited contractor's permissions to the builds in the project are temporary and shall be revoked upon completion of the project;

7. That the President communicate and ensure understanding of and agreement to clauses 3 - 6 to all prospective contractors;

8. That the Notice of the recruited contractor's permissions be recorded on site in signs with the contractor's name included;

Special Election Act of February 2023

To provide for the date and details of Special Elections

Be it enacted, 1. That the Special Elections arising from ties in the election of Members of Parliament or Senators shall occur two days after the date of that general election;

- 2. That if no such special election is called or held, Parliament may only engage in the business of scheduling a special election;

- 3. That if the necessary special elections are not held before the 20th of the month following that which the general election of those offices were held, the special election shall merge and run concurrently with the general elections of that former date;

- 4. If two Senatorial elections in a State happen to occur on the same day, a ballot shall only count towards the election corresponding to the Class of Senator being elected according to a /1 or /2 placed on the sign, First Class or Second Class, respectively.

Naturalization Act

To expand the requirements and availability of naturalization

Be it enacted, 1. That the Prime Minister may naturalize new citizens of the Republic;

2. That Federal naturalizing agents may only naturalize new citizens into the State of Verico;

3. That the Governor of a State may naturalize new citizens of that State and into the Republic concurrently if applicable;

4. That prospective citizens be given a copy of the Constitution of the Republic of Verico and Amendments to the Constitution as a reference before naturalization;

5. That for Naturalization, the naturalizing officer shall ask the prospective citizen “Do you solemnly swear that you will follow the Constitution and Laws of the Republic of Verico and that you bear true faith and allegiance to the same?;”

6. That the naturalizing officer direct the prospective citizen to read the constitution of the State into which they will be naturalized and ask the prospective citizen if they agree thereto;

7. That upon the prospective citizen’s affirmative answer to the questions in clauses 4 and 5, the same shall be allowed to place their citizenship sign and gain citizenship;
