Near the X-axis highway, the player Scorpiah started a series of mining tunnels mostly at diamond height, while probably using full bright, some other cheat or Optifine dynamic lighting which made him not use any torches.
The tunnel entry is not equipped with stairs but is surrounded by cobblestone walls and also has a cross out of cobblestone walls on top of it, as seen on the screenshots.
