Absolute Free Speech is one of MinecraftOnline's Principles.
This page is intended to detail how one of MinecraftOnline's Principles guides MinecraftOnline, its Staff, and its Rules. The page Free Speech explains how it affects players themselves.

MinecraftOnline is intended as a place where players have absolute freedom of speech; where absolutely nothing you say will get you banned short of spamming the chat to do so.
MCO has always been an adult-oriented server. Adult language has not been filtered and will not be in the future. It staff members have too much else to do to be required to police chat as well.
The server owner's views on Absolute Freedom of Speech:
"I've said it from the start but the reason for "free speech" isn't some simple platitude, it's well justified, and we would do well to remember what justifies it, what has come before when it's been suppressed, and what fantastic potential is unlocked when it's possible.
Let people say what they think. If you do that, you can talk about it, you can debate it. If you don't let them, they'll think it anyway, and they'll discuss it anyway, but where you can't see it; where reason can't stand against them.
And every now and again, they might just say something that is right, and makes you realise you are wrong.
And from this, everyone benefits.
Without it, everyone suffers.
I've lived it myself; I always used to say you're lucky that you probably won't have to - but I don't think that's true anymore. The world is now such that you'll all, without doubt, see the cost of suppressing free speech - you'll all pay it in your real-world lives at some point, because things have gone way too far in meatspace, and they're going to go further.
But by the time you have seen it for yourself, a lot of harm will have taken place in our little online paradise, that you can prevent by planning ahead. Even if you don't believe it in your bones, from what you've seen yourselves, yet - believe me - and you'll find out soon enough, either way." - SlowRiot
