Flank's Hut is a lodge on the edge of Freedonia. It lies on the edge of a world-border pine forest, considered 'haunted' by urban myth. While not much is known about the origins of the building, travellers often take refuge at the outpost on their journey towards or around the world border. Over the years it has become tradition to deposit a lily pad in the hut's creek when passing.

Flank himself remains largely secluded from broader society, formerly a diplomat for the northern communities of Freedonia. Flank continues to work for Freedonian governments on an ad-hoc basis.

The Lodge Vault

The Lodge Vault, located beneath the hut, has been a platform for negotiations between rival clans for years. Tensions and instability over land, commerce and resources are often resolved through dialogue in the vault, barring outside parties from entering and influencing negotiations. Parties travel long distances to reach the Vault, symbolic of the venue's neutrality and the need for compromise between actors.
