March 2023 Database Issue

The March 2023 database problems were- wait I don't even need to explain it, everything is in the title.

What happened ?

According to  SlowRiot,

"it's hard to tell right now, because of the way things are set up with this particular db [...], but the issue appears to be occurring at the filesystem level ; we use RAID-1 for this storage, and SMART monitoring info is suggesting both the disks in the array are failing their self-test, but it does not diagnose what the failure is" [...]. Basically, both drives that holds the database storage had problems at the filesystem level, so files couldn't be located on the drive.

What was down

• The website was malfunctioning, but still on.
• The Wiki was off and on depending on the moments.
• Freedonia was down, but a temporary server was put on.
  • Before it was turned off for maintenance, the message "[LP] A database error occurred whilst loading permission data. Please try again later. If you are a server admin, please check the console for any errors." was shown when trying to connect.
