Minecache is a game in Minecraft based on the real life game of Geocaching, in which people hide containers all over the world for others to find with their GPS. The point of the game, both in MCO and real life, is to bring people to interesting places, and give them a treasure hunting adventure!

How it Works

1. Look through the list of caches and find one that you like.

2. Look at the coordinates of the cache. These coords will usually be approximate, they may be ~16 blocks away from the actual location.

3. Once you arrive at the location, view the hint on how to find it on the listing.

4. When you find it, open it up and sign the logbook (book and quill). Then, if you like, you can exchange an item from your inventory with one in the cache. Please do not take all of the items, and leave something nice for the next people who find it, do not put trash in the cache!

Making a New Minecache

If you would like to make your own cache then just read through the following.

Rules

• The cache is one chest with a logbook and a few valuable items
• The cache must not be within at least 50 blocks of any other cache
• It must be well hidden, only people who are looking for it should be able to find it.
• If the cache is going to be on someone else's property be sure to ask permission before placing it.
• The cords must be at least 16 blocks away from the actual location.

What to Put in the Chest

• A book and quill with the text:

"[Cache name]
Created by [your name]
Signatures start on the next page"

• About 6 "luxury" items that players can trade
