Project Grief is inspired by Slowriot's build of the Stanford Angel. The "Grieving Angel" was sculpted by William Wetmore Story for the grave of his wife Emelyn. The original statue is in Rome, and replicas exist throughout the world; one of those replicas is at Stanford.
This project was created by
Cheeserns (Cheezitzer) and is dedicated to all who have left us and to those who have felt the pain and emptiness of loss. Perhaps one day we will be embraced by our loved ones once more, and maybe then we will be whole again.
