/descend is a movement command available with Stone Kit and above, and to moderators.
Usage
Typing /descend or /desc in chat instantly takes you to the first empty space beneath you. This can be in air, water or lava.
You can also specify how many levels to descend. E.g. /desc 3 will take you three floors down.
Like other movement commands, players and staff frequently use AutoHotkeys to bind this command to a mouse button or keyboard key for easy usage.
Limitations
- This command requires a solid place to stand with at least two passable blocks above it, somewhere beneath you.
- It does not take into account whether you would be appearing in air, water or lava - therefore descending carelessly can occasionally earn you a swim in a lava pool.
- Using the above mechanic it is possible to prevent safe access to underground lairs by players using /descend, by placing a level of lava above the ceiling.
- This is a one-way command - it is useful for quickly getting into caves for mining, but a higher kit level is required to use /ascend to exit as easily.
