Notes on making infobox building / settlements
Generally, infobox should be placed on top of the page, and must be before the main body (text). However, some page settings must come on top, so in that case, deprioritise infobox.
- Title should be the same as the page name unless exempt such as using illegal characters for page title.
- In the image field, insert the file name without File:. but with the file type (.png, jpeg, etc). Leaving this blank will categorise page as pages requesting images.
- You can use or not use links on owner and contributors fields. Leaving these as blank will show Owner as Unknown.
- Leaving coordinates and dimension blank will break the map link or show as places without coordinates. Unless exceptional like private locations including player bases or otherwise secret locations, please fill in the fields.
- Only insert Yes or No on Underground, Public access & building, Nexus link, and road, rail, boat, portal link fields (latter are infobox settlement only). Clarify information please. Leaving them blank will be the same as No.
- Consider using brackets after Yes/No if in need of extra info. [For example: Yes (Route 101) ]
- NEVER insert Yes on Nexus link unless the place is definitely connected by the Nexus teleportation system. This will change the location icon to red outline, and cause confusion to those finding for Nexus links on the map. Should there be error regarding this, immediately fix this. Having a nexus nearby does not count as having a nexus link, the nexus needs to link specifically to that place.
- Category field (and Settlement for infobox building) will automatically link anything it is inserted in. Leave them blank if you are unsure of what to put in them.
Other fields not mentioned above can be left blank and will be invisible from the infobox.
The following should be added on the very top of the page. Adding these will hide markers on the map.
- Locations which no longer exists should be marked as {{removed}}.
- Those which existed outside of Freedonia should be marked as {{external}}.
