Hokuseibu Shito

Hokuseibu Shito (北西部首都) , or Northwstern Capital, is a complex/base created by me, Oak. The name is a reference to the location of it on the map. It's located approximately 500 blocks northeast from the town of Kornelius. The reason why I don’t consider it a town is because nobody else lives here.

It was founded a few days after I joined the server (sometime between June 11th and June 14th of 2022). At the time, since my base was in the middle of nowhere, I thought it would be smart to build an ugly cobble road to the nearest settlement, Kornelius. Ms Helpimdeadinside wasn't so happy about it and demanded that I remove the section of the road closest to the town. I didn't want to get banned, so I did exactly that. I never formally made amends or apologized to her until October. When I finally did though, she asked me to remove all remnants of the road on the west bank of the river. The ugly cobble road survived until early 2023, when I finally removed the rest of the road and replaced it with a road that suited the medieval theme of Kornelius better. The land formerly occupied by the cobble road is now disputed territory supposedly owned by the Town of Kornelius.

For the first few months, Hokuseibu only consisted of one building that had no roof. It wasn't until December of 2022 when I finally decided to renovate said building, turning it from a noob hut to an observatory. A lava moat was also built around it discourage trolls from entering the observatory. The next building to be built was the greenhouse, since I was tired of buying steak from Emerald Mall every few months. Ironically though, to this day I still buy steak from Emerald Mall every few months since potatoes don't offer that much saturation, which therefore makes your hunger deplete faster. The next building at the site was the Furnace building, which, as the name implies, is a building dedicated to the sole purpose of smelting food. I never ended up using it. Then I built a road system designed to make traveling around my base easier. For the next few months, there wasn't much progress on the base. But then I had an idea: if I can't expand the base across the bay because of Kornelius, then why not claim the bay itself? There was still one question though. How would I claim the entire bay? Then it hit me. Infrastructure! That's what the islands in the bay lacked. I had to build it before the Town of Kornelius did. I started building a system of bridges connecting all the islands together, and terraformed some islands so that it would be impossible for another player to claim them. Progress was hindered because I was building a tunnel system at y 11 all across MCO, but I still worked on the tunnel project whenever possible. It wasn't until August of 2023 when I finally dedicated all of my time to completing the bridges. I still don't know when it will be completed, but I'll update this page with more information when I finally finish the bridges.

2 September 2023 update: In the past few a library and wind turbines have been added to the list of builds. From now on, this page will be edited when something new is built.

15 September 2023 update: Bridges and roads were built to connect Hokuseibu to the town of Southwood Township, to the north.
