This airship is based off the Niantic logo.
The rings floating around the balloon are made out of sea lanterns so they light up. The Niantic ship logo might also be called a "Lightship", which is one of Niantic's product names.
At sea level below the airship is a small ship with a Lift sign inside it to access the flying airship.
