BandicootLF joined on the 6th of June, 2024. He used to play it a while ago on a different account, though he wanted to start from a clean slate. He found MinecraftOnline when he watched a video about it. He's notoriously known (or should I say unknown) for going on the server only three months in a year at best. This is mainly because he doesn't own his own PC and so he can only use a family computer which is in a different place from where he lives.
Quick History Lesson
Introduction to Java Edition
Bandicoot bought Minecraft Java Edition after getting so tired of playing Bedrock Edition. He also wanted to try out real mods (and not those add-ons which were really primitive at the time) and big servers such as Hypixel.
He liked playing survival servers the most, as he was so afraid of playing in singleplayer over the fear that Herobrine would haunt his world (Yes, I’m scared of Herobrine to this day). Most of these servers he played were either P2W, boring, had an inactive or unwelcoming community, had an incomprehensible economy, had too many restrictions, had an extremely long queue, and just didn’t feel worth joining in general.
The Holy Grail of Servers
That was until he found MinecraftOnline while watching a video from SalC1, or FitMC. (I really forgot who really introduced me to it lmao) He first joined around 2020 or 2021, and loved the server for its vanilla-like gameplay, an easy to understand economy, and active community. The complete opposite of what he doesn’t want in survival servers. It was perfect to him, in exception of the terrible lag of course.
Humble Beginnings
He joined as soon as possible in his older account. He began trying to figure out how things work, since he was very new to Minecraft that time. He got interrogated for breaking a block during his first minutes of being in the server, but he immediately resolved it. He was stuck in spawn for a very long time since he had no idea of the nexus, and he was really annoyed of the lag he was experiencing that he didn’t want to do /wilderness (It was still 1.7.10 that time). He made a small base a few hundred blocks away from spawn, but he did not like it.
A Short Hiatus and his Return
He left the server for a few weeks since he couldn’t handle the lag, but returned after a while, when he found out about the nexus. Ever since then, he would devote almost all of his time playing MinecraftOnline, even pulling an all-nighter multiple times. Eventually he joined Newport. His biggest goal was to have a full set of enchanted diamond armor and tools, which he was able to achieve as BandicootLF, but never was able to achieve on his older account.
The Failed Town
This section will be in first person form so it can be easier to understand
I was really astonished with the concept of settlements, so much so that I had visions of starting my own town. This was where I would finally do /wilderness and surprisingly, it gave me a good piece of land. It was perfect for a town. Very minimal terraforming was needed, and it seemed so much like a promised land to me. I immediately began work on my own base, then started working on building the town. I set up a board of residents and permissions, and it was all going smoothly. Surely nothing could stop me right?
The Vanishing
Just a few months after MinecraftOnline had converted from 1.7.10 to 1.12.2, he would seemingly just log off and never return. Even I forgot why I left. My guess was that I lost interest in Minecraft that time and started playing other games, or just got tired of playing MinecraftOnline altogether. And because of this, my town was pretty much abandoned and never really went anywhere.
The Return (again)
After almost 3 years of being dormant from Minecraft, he stumbled upon a video about MinecraftOnline. By that point, migration of accounts had ended and so he could no longer have access to his older account. Because of that, he had to buy the game again, going under the name Bandicoot_Boogie.
Unnecessary Lore That You Don't Need to Read
Bandicoot was born in a different world with an unknown seed. His father died when he was just 3, and was raised by a different father. (however he doesn't know about this until I let him lol) He didn't have many friends growing up, which was why he decided to get into the science of teleportation, an ancient command known to give players the ability to move from one place to another without the usage of ender pearls. He then got his PhD and began working at a research facility specialized in top secret experiments. His world did not know how to teleport yet, which was why they were figuring out a way to learn this command. Bandicoot volunteered to be a test subject, and as he stepped in the machine, he began seeing numbers, his vision turned into green and black; there was definitely something wrong. Apparently, there was a mistake in the command. He was meant to be teleported only a few blocks, but it turns out that instead of 10 blocks, he was teleported 10,000,000,000,000 blocks. Because of this, he reached the 32-bit limit, then the 64-bit limit. He was close to certain death, and so he closed his eyes accepting his fate; but then, he opened his eyes. Floating in a small pond, Bandicoot was in MinecraftOnline, the oldest server in Minecraft.
At first he tried going back to his home world. As time went by, he got used to the place. He started talking to all kinds of people from different walks of life anytime and anywhere he wanted, which was not something he could do in his home world. He went to the wild and made a pretty impressive base. And so, Bandicoot embraced Freedonia and called it his new home.
He goes into hibernation at his habitat, The BandicootLF Residence. Only awake for about 3 months every year, he uses this time to build bases/settlements that he may or may not abandon.
I'm always on hiatus here's how often I'm active
I'm usually active during December since it's Winter Break, but I'm also active through April up to August since that's usually my vacation.
Projects
- Founded LaFayette, however he lost interest in the idea of the town so he shared the ownership with BuffaloBom to not let it stay abandoned.
- However im building a new town near you!!! (this time i WONT abandon it)
