As of now, the town is undergoing a change in power. The town of LaFayette will be transferred over to The Elderlands once the treaty is written and ownership will be shared by getplayerhead.sh?BandicootLF&16.png BandicootLF and getplayerhead.sh?BuffaloBom&16.png BuffaloBom.

The Town of LaFayette was established on the 9th of June, 2024. It is located in the South-East of Freedonia near the world border. More info below.

Basic Information

Brief History

The Town of LaFayette was established on the 9th of June, 2024 after getplayerhead.sh?BandicootLF&16.png BandicootLF finished his base and wanted to build a town. He worked on his first structure which was a church. He then made the Community Center, which was where the Nexus was supposed to be in, as well as the permissions board and history board. However, since the community center didn't match with the wanted vibe of the town, it was demolished and replaced by a park with a nearby library and cafe.

As time went by, Bandicoot became more confident in terraforming. In the end, he flattened a lot of the surrounding terrain (which turned out to be a huge mistake later on) though didn't get to make any roads for the newly flattened land. Instead, he focused on his plan for the "Three Great Towers", a project where he would build three towers over time as the town grows; however this would never come to be, and Tower One would be left unfinished with only two inhabitants living in it.

Because of the loss of interest over time, and Bandicoot's fascination of the older terrain, decided to start a new town altogether near Kanal Town called Twoson. He would then share his power with getplayerhead.sh?BuffaloBom&16.png BuffaloBom so that it would not just be a barren abandoned town with a few ugly builds here and there.

How do you get there?

The easiest method as of now is by going to Nexus Borderlands Hub - Yellow 2, then following the path going into the oak forest behind the quartz shop. (It may be gone or harder to find now since the borderlands hub has been given a revamp)

How do you become a resident?

The town is still under construction; however anyone can send a request to join. You can send mail to me or send me a message in chat and I'll work you through the process of becoming a resident to the town.

Town Government

Founder

getplayerhead.sh?BandicootLF&16.png BandicootLF

The founder of the town. He has full permission of every plot claimed or unclaimed, roads, and infrastructure such as farms within the town. He can make changes to residents' houses and other structures if he decides to as long as it is within the boundaries of the town. This authority is shared with the first representative as Bandicoot began focusing on other projects.

Mayor

getplayerhead.sh?BuffaloBom&16.png BuffaloBom

Chosen by the Founder. Should the mayor resign, he must assign someone to become the new mayor.

Lieutenant Mayor

Chosen by the Mayor. The lieutenant mayor is the one who takes on the job as mayor

Representative

These are respected individuals of the town who were chosen by the Founder or Mayor. Immortals of the Elderlands are immediately given this rank only if they become residents of the town first.

Want to be a Representative?

You must build a structure that is beneficial to the town's growth. Be it farms, attractions, and generally structures that improve the quality of life of the residents. You must ask for permission from a Representative or higher rank. (The founder may not be as active in the town, so your best choice is the mayor)

Permissions

The founder and mayor have permissions to every structure built in the town made by him or by citizens of the town. This is not observed for people who have bases nearby before the founding of the Town unless they decide to join.

Representatives have the permission to lay down roads as long as they follow the town's code of road building. (4 blocks wide, stone, and smooth stone sidewalks if the area is developed enough.) They can also set plots and build prebuilt homes in said plots for future residents to claim. They can also make plots by asking the Mayor for permission.

Town Rules

  1. The three basic rules of MinecraftOnline: No Griefing, No Spamming, No Cheating.
  2. Build only within the plot or unit given to you.
  3. If your house is prebuilt, you are not allowed to break the exterior. If you want to change the exterior, you may ask permission from a Representative.
  4. PVP cannot be enforced, however it is highly discouraged. If you are a resident and kill other residents for any reason, you may have the chance of having your citizenship revoked. This includes head hunters.
