Overview
Agarsted is a small village south of Aeston Isle. It is part of the First Aeston Republic.
History
Originally known as the Outer Islands and later South Outer Islands in lieu of the North Outer Islands, this place was first claimed for the FAR in 2018. Initially held as an overseas territory, through the efforts of Hirudo6, Agarsted was founded as a dependency of Aeston. The islands were transformed from a relatively untouched pair of grassy fields in to ocean into a small mycelium-covered fishing community, populated by emigrants from Aeston. Due to its small size, it is reliant upon shipments of goods from the mainland.
Etymolygy
Agarsted was named after the Agaricus Bisporus, a small and very common type of mushroom. This references the village in comparison to the Aeston mainland, as it is much smaller and more generic.
