Boat Drift Club (shortened to BDC) is an organization with a singular mission - bring the joy of Ice Boat Racing to the oldest Minecraft server in existence. We are glad to be the ones to bring the spirit of high-speed racing to MCO. It was a great surprise for us to find out, that there were no activities of similar nature, apart from Boat Skiing. Was established in Stop-Gooningburg.

Pre-MCO history
Before discovering IBR servers
In early spring of 2023, while playing on one of numerous private servers, noiraka and kr1nd, got frustrated with the stagnant ways of the aforementioned server. There was no interesting player-to-player interactions and the only thing everyone was interested in - was building. Thus, in protest, they rejected playing normally and, jokingly, stated "even driving in circles on the nether hub's ice road is more interesting". When other players joined them, kr1nd recorded the event and called the video "Boat Drift Club" - this is the origin of the organization's name. After this little event, noiraka started to wonder - is there any place, where one could truly enjoy Minecraft in this unordinary way, drifting on ice?
Ice Boat Racing (IBR) server search
In the summer of 2023, noiraka found two servers - frosthex.com and mc.boatlabs.net (we recommend you check out this one, since it's much more advanced now, than it was back then!). Shortly after that, there was an announcement about a big racing event, hosted on frosthex.com, called Blue City Circuit (or BCC), which piqued noiraka's interest.
BCC 2023
This was the first big race for noiraka, where he met purple_toki, one of the best racers in the whole community. After the event concluded, noiraka started to prepare for the next one, asking purple_toki to tutor him. Toki was not a BDC member at the time.
There were 106 racers. Relevant race results:

BCC 2024
Andreybork, a friend of noiraka, learned about IBR through him, not long before BCC 2024 event. Unfortunately, noiraka himself was not able to attend the event.
There were 128 racers. Relevant race results:

BCC 2025
BCC 2025 was the event that truly brought all current BDC members together into one big organization. Andreybork has created a small racing team on another server, which sharfinsk and Deleance_ were members of. When preparing for BCC 2025, Andreybork and noiraka discussed the event and in the end of this conversation they decided to merge Andreybork's racing team with the current two BDC members under the Boat Drift Club name and logo. Andreybork re-designed the uniform and distributed it to all members. Multiple interested players were also recruited into the "racing support team" - they technically are BDC memebers, but do not play any big roles in the BDC business.

Establishing the Headquarters
Any proper organization must have a Headquarters building (or so we like to think). Andreybork, the manager of BDC, was tasked with building the HQ, in any style he saw fit. The first Mayor of Stop-Gooningburg - noiraka - assisted with building via redirecting Stop-Gooningburg's workforce to gather resources for the construction. We thank

The construction was finished on 22.11.2025 and on the 23.11.2025 the grand opening of the Headquarters was held, with noiraka cutting the red ribbon.
The first ever racing track
As of writing this article (28.11.2025) the first Ice Boat Racing track on the server is under construction.
