Dernal is a town founded and owned by SiOtter in 2024. Its mayor is SpyDog and the village is apart of the Kanal Federation. The village sits on the northwestern side of Dernal National Park and can only be accessed via the park or by the Acadia Boat Route.
History
Founded in 2024 by SiOtter as a small resort community, the goal for Dernal was to be the testbed for the Kanal Federations mayoral project and to see how viable it is to have someone manage another players build with little to no help. The small village began to grow quickly under its mayor SpyDog, with a spawner farm and community centre being constructed. 
Moxieskip was the villages first member unintentionally due to a small error when it came to mapping the Kanal Federations internal borders.
