The Kanal Federation is the governing body of Kanal Town, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack, and multiple other towns founded or owned by SiOtter. (basically its how I keep my stuff active without having to work on it myself).
History
2018 -
The Kanal Federation (Formerly Okanogan Union) started from May-September 2018 with SiOtter looking to legitimize Kanal Towns government on an international scale. The Federation would quickly split Kanal Town into Old Kanal Town and New Kanal Town inorder to have two separate towns. Other things the group did was road repair and town diplomacy, it was somewhat separate from the Kanal Town staff at the time. The group would shortly ally with the Benjaneese Empire and its co leader HyperDray would propose town passports to be a thing. This was cut short following SiOtters October 2018 ban. A embassy in Birdcity was also established in 2018.
2019
The Federation would move onto the server Toastcraft and found the cities of Squamish, Shrekton, and New New Kanal Town which it would manage until the servers map reset in 2019. On the anarchy front the group founded the CEO base and RMNCA base. Meanwhile in Freedonia the federation still managed Kanal Town which was growing at a snails pace while its owner was gone. It was announced via discord that the group would take full control over the management of Kanal Town come SiOtters return.
2020
The group would help with the management of Kanal Town and would become the cities governing body in 2020. 
Hyperdray and SiOtter would set up a pitch to get Kanal Town a nexus in May 2020. This pitch would be successful and Kanal Town would have a short revival with a few new people joining the aging residents. The group would allow Kanal Town to join Bedrocco but the citizens of Kanal would vote to leave town shortly after.
2021
In 2021 the Federation would have a meeting where it was decided that the Town Staff would begin to be incorporated into the Unions force. The federation also combined Old Kanal Town and New Kanal Town into a singular town for easier management. Project 3 was also planned by SiOtter and HyperDray at this time.
2022
The union spent most of 2022 fixing grief in Kanal Town and better preparing it for Project 3. This includes the construction of new battlements and misc infrastructure around Kanal Town. The FPKA was clarified as an alliance between states rather then the Federations military in 2022.
2023
Project 3 began with a hard advertising campaign aimed at brining players back to Kanal Town. This worked and the cities population skyrocketed from below 30 to nearly 50 in a span of a few months. Following this the newly renamed Kanal Federation joined the Newport Empire for financial support, financial support that was needed for upgrading federation farms and facilities. 
Snakyman did not meet any of his promises leading the federation to join the New United States for support, 
ReaperSniper221 provided the support needed and the Federations Members voted to leave both the New US and Newport in the summer. Snakyman caught wind of this and declared war on the New United States and sent assassins to Kanal Town. Around this time the Federation acquired a large number of Wither Skulls for defensive and offensive purpose.
Later that year the government would reinstate the passport program for residents who wanted extra space to build in. It would also establish relations and build an embassy in E Town. SiOtter made a push for the Federation to begin supporting new and upcoming towns while also expanding with new towns nearby Kanal Town so it would no longer be a city-state. The federation would briefly do defensive attacks against Bunker City in 2023 before assisting it in a battle against Cakeville. Following this battle peace talks were held in Kanal Town and a ceasefire was held between all parties involved. A month later the group would build relations with The Citadel and build a Federation embassy in the town.
2024
The Federation would have a small incursion done on it leading to the explosion of Bunker City from the FPKA group. Bunker City and the Federation after some careful thought signed an agreement that no more incursions are to take place following a failed Bunker City raid on Kanal Town that lead to all Bunker City members asides its leader, 
MisterBHomes combat logging within the city limits. The Federations borders would also be re-mapped and multiple outposts would be decommissioned. Close to the 7th birthday of Kanal Town the Federation would be reorganized once further with new roles and duties for Kanal Town Residents. This was an added layer of bureaucracy that allowed for Kanal Town Residents to have the option to be given federation towns to mayor and manage themselves. 
Red_Sporb retired from his position as mayor of Chilliwack in March 2024. Chilliwack got a new mayor the following week in the form of 
Oskw. SiOtter also bought ownership of 
LegendaryMacaws village Island Town for 32 diamond blocks under the conditions that it joins the Federation and Macaw still runs it under Otters ownership.
Management Structure
Administration
The federation is managed by three leaders who overview town votes within the towns. The group has a flawed democratic structure where its leaders can veto votes. The three leaders of the group are SiOtter, HyperDray, and CarCrasher13 (our "international" representative). The groups leaders maintain infrastructure and federation towns. The federation manages approximately 3 provinces and 3 territories as of 2023.

Provinces are determined by wether its connected to the mainland of the Federation or not, if there is no connection then it is not a province.

Territories are non connected colonies such as Redrose or Otters Landing.

Passports
Passports or otherwise known as Residency Cards are given to players who's permanent residency is within the borders of the group. Passport holders can build in any town under the federations umbrella, and town member exclusive infrastructure.

Prime Minister & Vice Minister
Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister are the two highest roles in the federation. They oversee everything within the Federation and own the builds within the federation.
Minister
Ministers oversee provinces and manage them for the Prime and Vice minister. Basically middle managers that keep the Prime Ministers builds looking nice.
Mayor and Leader
Mayors and leaders look after individual towns and cities owned by the Prime Minister and Vice Minister.
Alliances
FPKA
The FPKA (Freedonia Peace Keeping Alliance) is a 2018-present alliance between players, towns, and governments that deals with PVP and trade. It was started by the Federation and Birdcity.
League of Peaceful Towns and Settlements
Kanal Town has been a league member since 2024. CarCrasher13 is the leagues Kanal Town representative.
Freedonian Commonwealth
The Federation and Commonwealth share a similar goal of repopulating the spawn continent and thus both organizations are allied with eachother.
