Overview:
Lake Loon is a massive navigable reservoir in western Freedonia, situated between Goosebury and Delightville. It's likely the largest artificial body of water in the world, although this claim has yet to be confirmed. Lake Loon was once a naturally-occurring dry desert/prairie basin. When the lake was constructed in March 2024, the basin was flooded. The flooding of the area puts the lake's surface 5 meters above the average local water level.
The Delightville Branch of the Bellflower Route runs through Lake Loon the to provide a boat link to Delightville. Two automatic canal locks, one on the west side and one on the east side of the lake, allow players to traverse the difference in water heights without having to get out of their boats. By foot, the lake is crossable by the grandiose Goosebury Bridge built by happy_guy.
