The NameBoats plugin allows naming of boat items to cause the entity to have the same name and keep the name on the item dropped when broken.
It also can give those entities unique textures with the MCO Resource Pack, and prevents the use of name tag on armour stands.
This matches the vanilla behaviour of renaming Minecarts. Also supports renaming armour stand, item frame, painting items, and ender crystals.
