Ogashiwa (大柏) is a small village in Veserva.
History
The ground for the village was first broken in late 2020, when Hirudo6 cleared the area of trees and grass and built a simple Torii gate. The site was abandoned for several months, due to Hirudo's other commitments and projects. In early spring of 2021, Hirudo returned and began developing the land. Originally, the village was meant to be an exercise in building diagonally, but this aspect was abandoned as the house designs looked terrible when rotated.
Eventually, the village was completed, although future expansions are not off the table. Currently the village in uninhabited, but homes may be distributed to those who ask Hirudo6.
Trivia
- The architectural style of the houses was based off of Littleroot Town from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, as well as the Folktale village from the mobile game Guardian Tales.
- The town gets is name from the freakish tendency of the area to produce large oak trees. "大" (Oo) means large or great, and "柏" (kashiwa) means oak. So, Ogashiwa means large oak.
