Takadokia (previously known as New Northwest Verico, New Sardinia and The Midlake Island(s)) is a town located at the southern part of Lake Ganaz. It was originally founded by players  HY_Turkic and  LolePlay_PL in September 2019, and rapidly came to encompass the southern portion of the lake.

Takadokia is located about 14,000 blocks away from spawn and is a town built on the ocean and a few scattered islands. While the overall area of the town is massive (with an area of around 800,000 meters squared), most of said area is ocean rather than actual landmass. Many of Takadokia's builds are located on the islands, connected by vast roads of cobblestone and ice (the latter being for fast travel). To learn more about the districts that make up the town, see the Districts section below.

Most buildings in Takadokia were built and are maintained by HY_Turkic, though there are plenty of builds that are works of other players; see Residents for a full list of inhabitants and the town rules. If you wish to build or take up residence in Takadokia, please ask HY_Turkic.

How do I get here?

There are three stations that provide transport to and from Takadokia.

1. Lole Station is the main FRS hub, providing both rail and road connections via the Acacia Line.
2. Velazzo Station contains the Nexus link via South (Lime) Hub 3 and the town's Nether link, in addition to also linking to the FRS road.
3. Comptown-Loletown Station services the exclave district of Old Loletown via the SCR Commonwealth Line.

Additionally, the warp town Vizima is around 1000 blocks away from mainland Takadokia.

Districts

Takadokia is divided into six districts of varying size and building density.

Velazzo Map Link	The heart of Takadokia, Velazzo is the town’s largest district by total landmass, and the district visitors will most likely see first. It’s made of three individual islands: the eponymous Velazzo Island is densely populated with apartment buildings and contains the town hall; Vysoky Island has the grand Vysoky Palace; and the fully artificial Freska Island is the home of the Lettuce Skyscraper (built by  DDaniii_).
Grande Sardinia Map Link	With little to no landmass to its name, most of Grande Sardinia’s “territory” is situated on a cobblestone bridge totalling around 600 blocks in length. Most of the town's urban development can be seen here, as the district is filled with compounds, apartment buildings, hotels and more.
The Midlake Islands Map Link	The Midlake Islands district is integral to the town’s history. It includes East Midlake Island (the original site of the settlement that would grow into Takadokia), West Midlake Island and South Midlake Island. The district's most notable builds are the Independence Memorial and the East Midlake Museum.
Nea Makedonia Map Link	A Greek-inspired district, Nea Makedonia is comprised of three islands: Kriti Island contains an apartment complex, as well as the Bunker Museum. On Voreia Island stands a tall apartment building originally built by  Kotobuki_. Kerasia Island is the location of Takadokia's visitor center, and is named after the artificial cherry trees built on it.
Verican Lebanon Map Link	A Middle-Eastern inspired district, Verican Lebanon is the smallest district and contains only one apartment building as of yet. Its name comes from the fact that the island on which the district stands was originally claimed by Verico.
Old Loletown Map Link	Another historic district, Old Loletown is an exclave around 3000 blocks from mainland Takadokia. Here, the original houses of founders  HY_Turkic and  LolePlay_PL can be found. Sardinian Eden is a small village on an island built in the style of New Eden, even including a working clock tower made functional by  aggrievedCanine, the architect behind the actual New Eden Clocktower. Bezmond Island is empty, but connects the district to the Comptown-Loletown Station.

Vysoky Palace Map Link	HY_Turkic	2020	A palace that also quadruples as an apartment, a hotel, a mega farm and a music tower, located on Vysoky Island. It started construction early in 2020, but wasn't completely decorated and polished until early 2024.
Lettuce Skyscraper Map Link	Freskooo	2020	The only true skyscraper and the tallest building in Takadokia with a height of 65 blocks, located on Freska Island.
Crystal Beacon Map Link	Darkerfly	2020	A massive beacon crystal. One of the first builds in Takadokia not to be constructed by HY.
Takadokia Ship Map Link	Wolf_War	2020	A massive ship made for Takadokia, adorned with the colors of the Takadokian flag.
Takadokia Lole Station Map Link	HY_Turkic	2020	A humungous FRS station, originally built to partake in the Freedonia Best Railway Station Competition in May 2020, where it ended up winning 4th place. It wasn't connected to the Freedonia Railway System until February 2023. The station is a complex made up of a few different sections. By area alone, it is the largest single build in Takadokia.
East Midlake Museum Map Link	HY_Turkic	2021	A museum containing Takadokia's earliest builds, located on East Midlake Island. While most of the original builds on the island were taken down, identical copies were constructed using the exact same blocks from the originals. The first signs placed by  LolePlay_PL, the Rest-Base and the Lighthouse, on the other hand, were left untouched due to their historical significance to the town.
Fuzbol's Tower Map Link	FuzbolMC	2023	Being a Nexus warp, Takadokia contains one of  FuzbolMC's signature towers on Velazzo Island. The second tallest building in Takadokia, it is 58 blocks tall (7 blocks shorter than the Lettuce Skyscraper).
Independence Memorial Map Link	HY_Turkic	2024	A memorial commemorating the 4th anniversary of Takadokia's independence from Verico, located on South Midlake Island. It's heavily based off the Parthenon.
Town Library Map Link	HY_Turkic	2024	A massive sanctuary for avid readers, located in Grande Sardinia. It was one of the most expensive buildings to construct in Takadokia, utilizing almost a double chest full of bookshelf stacks to build, taking up a few stacks of diamond blocks.

In order to become a resident and/or secure build perms in Takadokia, you must agree to the town rules located in the Nexus link. Once you have agreed to these rules, you will be given build perms and your name will be written here on the category below. This shows that you have agreed to the town rules.

Players who joined Takadokia after January 2023, along with the date on which they joined, are recorded in the official town register and listed below in chronological order. Residents may be later evicted (their resident status and build perms revoked), which is indicated as well.

Those who got a place of residence in Takadokia prior to January 2023 were not officially registered, and as such the exact dates they joined the town is unknown and are listed in no particular order.

History

HY_Turkic and LolePlay_PL landed on Midlake Island (now East Midlake Island) on September 9th, 2019 while on an expedition. They claimed ownership of the small island and erected a few small builds there. While this stay was meant to be temporary and the island only a quick stop, the stay became permanent and both founders soon intended to live there. Lole became inactive not long after, and HY would continue developing the settlement. He fully moved his house, expanded to the neighboring islands, started building a long road to the somewhat nearby warp town of Vizima, and began a long partnership with  pretzel33's Sand Island. The area now called Old Loletown, the site of HY's first home and Lole's original base, was incorporated into the town as an exclave. The town at this point was known by the name New Sardinia.

Due to financial troubles, New Sardinia was sold to  Beeraeka in February 2020 for a total of 15 iron blocks and became a colony of Verico under the name New Northwest Verico. Though technically owned by Verico, New Northwest Verico enjoyed almost full autonomy, continued being expanded by HY and got its own Nexus link. In April, HY repaid Beer the 15 iron blocks and New Sardinia got its independence from Verico, but stayed part of the Bedrocco Empire for the time being. In May, the town was renamed for the last time to its current name of Takadokia.

In July, Takadokia got full independence from the Bedrocco Empire. The town underwent structural reforms that saw the creation of districts to replace the old system of administrative divisions. Renovations were made to various areas like The Midlake Islands and Velazzo. From this point onwards, the development of Takadokia has been slow and spread out over long periods of time, largely focused on populating the districts and completing projects left unfinished. Takadokia Lole Station was finally made operational in February 2023, connecting the town to the FRS.
