The Opulent Sea is a locality within the Opulencia region that is primarily centered around the Western Waters Winery.

History

The Opulent Sea is named after the high quality output of the Western Waters Shipping Co. produce in the region. Among the islands are many operational centers, including the Western Waters Winery. The influence of not only this region, but the Western Waters brand, led to the broader region's name. Growth in the region is highly centered around the growth and stability of the Winery and the many people it employs.

Development Plans

In the early days, when Western Waters was first making a name for itself in Freedonia, the Winery was also the secluded home of it's founders before later expanding as the operation grew. The neighboring islands became sites of expansion with the distribution center being the first among a handful of large construction projects. After a long awaited contract signed with officials from the United Texas Coalition, an exclave town was commissioned to house workers for the company. Plans for this settlement, currently known as Project Meridia, have been put on hold due to ongoing land disputes in the airspace.

Ongoing Land Struggles

The original plan was for most of the sea was intended to have open-boat traffic and feature a major settlement among with individual houses among the islands. While this is still the intended goal, various constructions by other players have impeded some of the progress. A guardian farm was constructed in the north eastern reaches altering the passage of sea travel. To the west, multiple map arts have been constructed over the build site of the main settlement. Thankfully, discussions are being held to hopefully relocate these map arts to allow for construction to progress.
