History
In July of 2021 JimyHendricks had left Pallet Town in order to create his own base. He chose to explore the Northeastern quadrant of the map. After wandering for quite some time, he decided a flat snowy area was suitable for building. He was unsure of what to name the base so he decided to look at random countries and flags on Google. He decided that he would choose Latvia because of its easy to replicate flag. He eventually named the base, The Peoples Democratic Republic of Latvia. This name was inspired by The Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (Commonly referred to as "North Korea"). Players JimyHendricks met in chat such as podd and cosmic_potato_04 would visit the base and join 1-2 weeks after first visiting. One day JimyHendricks noticed a player in chat by the name of _TheCrimsonKing_ was bored and asking if he could build something for someone. JimyHendricks would instruct _TheCrimsonKing_ to build a house in the central district. Once he asked him to do this he logged off for the day. When JimyHendricks logged on the next day he noticed the land was heavily terraformed and would see a clocktower and a Town Hall being built. TheCrimsonKing would bring players such as 
RainBd to the base and would inevitably change the base forever.
Districts
The main District Helluva City is home to the majority of the buildings in Latvia. Prominent buildings like the Town Hall and the Clock Tower are located here. _TheCrimsonKing_ chose this name for the district for unknown reasons.
Powder Town is a small village located on top of a mountain on the West side of the base. This village was named Powder Town due to the excessive amount of gunpowder JimyHendricks would acquire from all of the creepers that would spawn around the base.
Ice bay as the name suggests, is a bay completely covered in a thick sheet of ice located on the far East side of the base. It is mostly empty besides The Isle of Wheat (That was discovered to be a Peninsula shortly after being named) that is located in the middle of Ice bay.
The Central District as the name suggests is located in the center of Latvia. The Central watchtower UncleHunters garden and House are here. This is the oldest part of the base and it is home to the oldest build in Latvia, the Community Farm.

Former Residents
The people who currently reside in the PDRL are the founder, JimyHendricks. The second member of the base, UncleHunter15. cosmic_potato_04 who mainly lives at his solo base but is sometimes found wandering around Latvia. The _TheCrimsonKing_ came to the base in search of work. podd came to the base after JimyHendricks showed it to him. An unregistered player named 
Necrite980 lives outside the base at his massive dirt mound but is considered a member.
The Latvian Alliance
The Peoples Communist Party of Minecraft Online (Now the Latvian Alliance) is the current presiding body over The Peoples Democratic Republic of Latvia. The group also has members from other bases such as cosmic_potato_04.
The Party also has its own Army that protects The PDRL and its allies.
The Peoples Army of Latvia
The Peoples Army of the CPMCO is structured very similarly to the Roman Army. There are two main divisions of the Peoples Army of the CPMCO; the Legionary is the half of the Army that defends the PDRL and all of its outposts. The Auxiliary defends the PDRL's allies and is composed of non-citizens of The PDRL.
The Latvian Guard's Structure
A Century is a group of two or more men, and a Centurion is the one leads these men. A Centurion is similar to a sergeant in the way he fights with his men during battle. Two or more of these groups make up a cohort, and four or more of these groups make up a legion. The head of the Latvian Government leads these men.
The Auxiliary's Structure
The Auxiliary's structure is mostly the same as the Latvian Guard's structure except, there are no Legions. Centuries mainly stay with their own, and on rare occasion come together as a Cohort.
Update (April 2022)
As of April 2, 2022 the base lies dormant and inactive. Most members went on to create solo projects or moved to Burgeon City in the case of podd and JimyHendricks. cosmic_potato_04 would continue work on the Town of Nameless. UncleHunter15 would begin work on the Golden Mall in February 2022. _TheCrimsonKing_ would work on solo projects and would keep to themself for awhile. Most members are still nostalgic for the days of Latvia but no one has tried to reignite the spark in Latvia.
