Sand City is a small desert city on a river. The river provides valuable water, while the densely packed buildings provide shade from the hot desert sun.
History
A quiet, unassuming player came to this server wanting to build a huge tower someday, with glass curtain walls providing spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. This would take a lot of glass, and a lot of sand. Not wanting to make a big ugly sand mine in the desert, he decided to make some desert builds instead, and mine out the sand and sandstone under them. Now, instead of simply being an excuse to cover up a sand mine, Sand City has itself become a worthwhile destination for those who wander the desert.
