History of Liberty City

September 2024

Liberty City was unofficially founded in mid to late September 2024, in a bay near Republic City. Unfortunately, the city was abandoned, due to lack of motivation to build anything in the frozen wasteland of the former Liberty State.

October 2024

In October,  dunechan had the idea to build a Statue of Liberty near Angel City, on the edge of a jungle biome. This build became her sole project for a month, and her largest by far at the time. At the same time, she was planning an underwater settlement called Rapture, but the construction of the first building in the settlement became too tedious and it was swiftly abandoned. The remains of this structure remain underneath the city to this day.

November 2024

In November of 2024, The Statue of Liberty was finished, and dunechan was out of ideas on what to do, and for a while went back to working on Angel City. After a while she got bored with her other city and thought of building a small island settlement called New Harbor, next to the statue of liberty. An outline was made of the island, but again, she got bored and continued to work on Angel City, until, Angel City got a nexus link.

December 2024

In December, dunechan revealed her next big project; Pennsylvania Station, a 1:1 recreation of Old Penn Station from NYC, and made the decision to create an entirely new city for this new railway hub, and so the idea of Liberty City was revived, and relocated to the western border of Freedonia. While the design was underway, the original outline of New Harbor was expanded into a larger peninsula, while  Bawest drained the future site of Penn Station to prepare for construction. In the meantime, dunechan built the Brooklyn Bridge, connecting Liberty City to the Statue of Liberty. In mid December, Penn Station began construction.

January 2025

In January, the first skyscraper was built in Liberty City, the Rotterdam Tower, which was followed up by the construction of the Chryslus building. Radio Row was also constructed during this month.

February 2025

In February, the construction of Penn Station was completed, as well as Times Square. Central Park began construction too, along with several expansions that doubled the city in size. Liberty City joined the United Texas Coalition, and became one of it's largest cities, just behind Dubina and New Market.

Current Day (March 2025)

Construction of the Columbia State Building is started on 3/25/2025.  AdoreKitten uses craftbook to create seamless double stone slabs for parts of the tower.
