Lightonia is a plugin allowing Admins access servers backups, including world backups as well as player inventory backups.
It is most useful in helping Admins fix grief, whether recent or ancient, as well as do player inventory rollbacks when needed.
When fixing grief from a backup, entire chunks can be copied and pasted back into the main world, making it very useful in fixing mass Grief. Backups from as old as 2011 are available on it.
Lightonia replaced Backuponia, which was a copy of the Freedonia world accessible to admins and refreshed every 12 hours.
In March 2025 with the Temporal Rift event, players can activate a new way to reach a specific Lightonia point, The area available is 3x3 regions, totalling 96x96 chunks (1536x1536 bocks). Also the new /lightonia
command was made available to players, see Commands#Other for details.
Note that while in Lightonia, any player can use commands:
/unstuck
/minecraft:time
use to change the time of day
