Why?
To everyone's shock, news of SadieSadie's ban made its way to the Cakeville discord on January 8th, 2023. Apparently SadieSadie had posted a screenshot while using a minimap that could track the positions of players and mobs, and although SadieSadie agreed to remove it after being told it was against the rules, he was banned by the MCO staff.
How?
Among the chaos of condolences and questioning, AJzzix asked about making a monument of some sort to honor Sadie's "death". Sadie then suggested some sort of event, from where AJzzix's idea for a ban-funeral was suggested. After a few days and much conversation, the date was set for January 15th at 1:00 PM EST, and the entire Cakeville discord was notified of this.
What happened?
Around the agreed time, AJzzix along with Sadie and multiple other players joined Cakeville's "The Cake Pan" voice chat to discuss Sadie's "death". As they were talking though, more and more people slowly started to arrive at the Visitor Centre. After a chaotic first 20 minutes, with players running around, playing discs and other music, and lighting others on fire, the group of players settled down into a sitting line across the floor of the Visitor Centre main lobby. Then, one by one, some players would take turns walking up in front of the group and typing a string of messages in chat about Sadie, saying how much they will miss him and how much he meant to the server. This continued until 
Luigifan100 wrapped up the ceremony and the funeral once again spiraled into fireworks and chaos, the perfect way to end this amazing event.
Fun Facts:
- Although there is evidence of other funerals on the server (
1Catnip's funeral), this is the first one that was ever documented to this extent
- This is the first documentation of a "Ban-funeral" on MCO
- There was NO official involvement of the MCO staff team in the creation or scheduling of this event
- During the event, AJzzix handed out 15 bottles of water labeled "SadieSadie Slushie (don't ask)" to random players at the event
