Discovery and Location
Shypixel's Gorges were discovered by twinchicken86, on May 24, 2012. They were so named because shypixel was on the server at the time, and twinchicken86 asked him specifically. He approved, and so they were called Shypixel's Gorges. The reason they are "Gorges" is because they are three mountains, jutting out of two inlets of water. The three mountains are: Flat Top Mountain (Because of its top's large surface), Four Trees Mountain (The center mountain, with two small and two large oak trees on top of it) and Spire Mountain (The smallest of the three mountains, having only one large tree on top of its summit. This tree is aptly called "Big Tree".) All of the namings were carried out by twinchicken86. The Gorges are rougly located at: X=-416, Y=100, Z=-3341 (Measurement taken from on top of Flat Top Mountain), just outside of Game City near MountJackal.

"I was out exploring because my friend thebiologist13 was offline at the time, and I was bored and had nothing to do. I walked out of Game City and just started walking, then took a boat across a small waterway. I saw the three mountains in the distance and thought, 'whoa, this is amazing!' I knew right then and there that I had to figure out a name for these, so I started to ask what a good name would be for three epic mountains in the chat, before realizing (a) Shypixel was online, and (b) there were inlets of water between the mountains. I placed some ladders in order to get up the sides of the mountain which I would later name Flat Top Mountain, and got a look at the view. Then I realized how much floating sand was up there! I took one look around, and decided to name them Shypixel's Gorges."
