Introduction

The Valley of the Fallen is a monumental complex made up of a Catholic basilica, an abbey and a 150 m high cross sitting on the top of a cliff that dominates the entire surrounding valley, with the peculiarity that the basilica is entirely underground. In real life the architects are Pedro Muguruza and Diego Méndez; the sculptures correspond to Juan de Ávalos y Taborda, among others.and it is considered one of the greatest exponents of Francoist architecture. The cross is 150 meters high (with arms of 24 meters each), crowning itself as the most world high. This is an attempt to recreate the actual building in Minecraft Online with the goal of being the Tax Haven National Cemetery.

Description

First, the visitor will be welcomed by the statues of the Twilight Knights, the statues of getplayerhead.sh?JesusMRS&16.png JesusMRS, with a picake, and getplayerhead.sh?Blacknightmon&16.png Blacknightmon, with a sword. Then, the visitor will be on the entrance itself, over the main door, the visitor could see the statue of "la piedad" (the Mercy), with JesusChrist. The building is made of quartz blocks, quartz stairs, polished diorite, stonebrick, sandstone, glowstone, stone slabs, and granite, among others.

Building Process

First I designed most of the building in creative, based on the real Valley, then I mined the mountains and, with the permission of getplayerhead.sh?George_Mann&16.png George_Mann, his road was demolished temporarily, also I had to make a few changes in the road of getplayerhead.sh?Crimson_Aught&16.png Crimson_Aught, with his help and permission. Later, I got all the materials (list above), this is the only part where getplayerhead.sh?JesusMRS&16.png JesusMRS helped me in the construction process, because he was the one who mined the quartz needed for this part. Once I had all the materials recollected, I started the building process (You can see it more detailed in the Gallery), when I finished the building planned on creative, I realised that if I wanted to make the building good, I would have to mine more and make a big entrance, so I expanded the entrance, and I built the courtyard of the entrance, when that was finished, I made a wall of sandstone and the statues to receive the visitors with honor.

This part was started the 19/08/2023 and was finished the 23/12/2023 (this dates could be a few days wrong)

Description

The visitor can enter to this part from the Cross, there is a Lift Down sign that allows the visitor to walk trought all the Valley without needing movements commands, you will cross 2 rooms made up of Quartz blocks and stairs, obsidian, 2 stone statues of angels, and glowstone. Then, the Abbey itself it's made up of two identical buildings, the first floor has a garden and the second one a meeting room, and one large building that it's connected with this two building thanks to 2 bridges and the countryard, this countryard has the faces of getplayerhead.sh?JesusMRS&16.png JesusMRS and getplayerhead.sh?Blacknightmon&16.png Blacknightmon and two pools with statues of this players. In the main building there is a library in the west and a debate room in the east, in the center we have a common room to talk, eat, and stay chill with others, at the end of the building there is a small church to celebrate ceremonies, weddings, bauptisms, among others. This is the biggest and more expensive part of the Valley of the Fallen and it's connected with the roads of getplayerhead.sh?Crimson_Aught&16.png Crimson_Aught and getplayerhead.sh?George_Mann&16.png George_Mann, working like a link.

Building Process

First, as I almost always do, I designed in creative the entire project, when it was finished, I started mining all the desert to make the land perfect to build, during the excavations I found a fossil, It was the first time that I found one in my life so the event was recorded and is in my twitch channel (rey_blacknightmon). The admin getplayerhead.sh?SenatorApple&16.png SenatorApple, with his powers carried the fossil to the Museom of Tax Haven, in my castle (Blacknightmon's Castle). When the excavations were finished, I started to mine all the quartz, the almost 40.000 Quartz blocks needed for this part were entirely mined by me, I was entire weeks in Nether mining, but finally all the materials were collected. I started the building and when it was finished I had to tackle a problem, this was the roads, I connected the road of getplayerhead.sh?Crimson_Aught&16.png Crimson_Aught very easely, but the road of getplayerhead.sh?George_Mann&16.png George_Mann was destroyed, so I decided to rebuild it underground, in that way the road is not cut and the Valley links the 2 roads. The statues of the pools were designed and built weeks later, and finally, I added two simetric mazes made up of leaves to decorate te left and right wings of the Abbey.

This part was started the 04/02/2024 and was finished the 02/06/2024 (this dates could be a few days wrong)

Description

The Valley's Chamber is made up of quartz blocks, stairs, glowstone, obsidian, polished diorite among other and we can divide it in 4 main parts. The first room is an entrance, the second one "The Angel's Ascension" room has 2 angel statues of stone and a Lift Up Sign to visit the Cross. Later the visitor will find the stairs, there are 3 chapels in each wall, each one for a different Virgin, so we have 6 chapels for 6 different Virgins, that are Patroness of 6 different things, represented by 6 different flowers. Finally we arrive to the Valley's Chamber itself, a big room underground with a gold dome, 4 statues representing 4 archangels, Gabriel, Rafael, Miguel and Uriel, in the middle there is an altar there is an altar with our Lord JesusChrist crucified, in this chamber can take place ceremonies for a banned player to honor him, in the floor are prepared the tombs of getplayerhead.sh?JesusMRS&16.png JesusMRS and getplayerhead.sh?Blacknightmon&16.png Blacknightmon, we only count that a player is dead if he die in real life or gets banned.

Building Process

This part was the hardest for planning bc I had to design the interior without knowing how was the size of the mountain, so when I finished the design, I realised that the mountain was small, so I decided to make it underground, I excavated all the underground and I mined the last quartz ores for the Valley, also I mined 35 stacks of obsidian in the End. I started the building using the /hat command to put an ender chest in my head and thanks to that, I could see during the building process, so in few days I finished this part.

This part was started the 10/07/2025 and was finished the 03/08/2024 (this dates could be a few days wrong)

Description

The two mountains of the Valley have a different role in the building, one is the National Cemetery of Tax Haven, if a player of this city die or is banned, he will have a tomb here. In the other hand we have the Hell, where those who are banned by my hand suffer the eternal punishment of the ban. These parts are not related to the Valley of the Fallen of the real life.
