About
I am most well known for my interested in the server economy and trade. I am focused on helping create value for others and enabling more efficient trade on the server, which is designed to improve the experience for everyone on the server. I hear it stated often that the economy of MCO is broken, however with the addition of the Emerald Mall, I respectfully disagree. The Emerald Mall helps mediate fair and reasonable prices for items, vastly improving trade from the previous decade of the server and lifting the MCO Economy into a new era.
I have great admiration for the devotion of the community custodians, admins and long time players who make this community great. I know I am standing on the shoulders of giants.
One day I will go, but I hope my contributions continue to serve the community and provide value beyond my time here.

Story
My journey begins when I joined the server in January 2017 on a different account. I had admiration for the server, however I decided against playing at the time due to the server lag degrading the experience too much for me, as well having other competing servers I was invested.
Fast forward to 2021 and I heard about the server finally updating to 1.12 thought a video on youtube and it peaked my interest. This led me to re-join as Ren on July 2nd 2021. To my surprise and excitement, the server had improved its performance and could run at a pace that make it playable! So I decided I wanted to setup somewhere and leave something here, to be seen and enjoyed by other players in the future.
I begin my journey at the nexus, which I found somewhat confusing. To make my life as easy as possible, I decided to run into the nexus and keep running straight until I arrive at a destination where I can settle. With a spring in my step, I leap in and run. I arrive at the Pink Nexus 2 and begin to look for an open area to build. I very quickly stumble across a beautiful hill, situated in old terrain, next to EpicVille. I decide I will build myself a nice house and then leave the server. Things were coming along nicely, but then DISASTER STRUCK. Just a day or two into my adventure, the server decides to go on HOLIDAY and let everyone take a vacation into a temp world... just my luck! However... I did come crawling back a month later to finish my house lol.
It was at this point that my luck began to change, as I learned about the Iron Reef... a mystical place somewhere near Winterthorn where I could get infinite wood, stone, steak and wool!? This place sounds too good to be true! Luckily a kind player helped show me the absolute Rubik's Cube directions and secret tunnels to get there (can't remember who this was, but it was much appreciated, Sorry!). While we're on the subject, the Iron Reef, 100% deserves a Nexus and I believe an exception to the rule should be made to make navigation easy for newer player. Anyway I digress, the Iron Reef helped expedite my construction and I made quick work of transforming my mountain house into quite the fortified retreat, with castle like beams being added.
It was at this point that I decided I needed to grind out some protective armor, as this was a time in the server that bandits would frequently camp in the nexus. It was a truly terrifying for a myself, who had zero diamonds to my name. So I hurried underground, safe from the dangers of the world above, where I began to slowly and tediously grind XP for several days to building up my Prot IV, Unbreaking III Diamond Set (that I still have and wear to this day!). My next move was to consider how I could generate money, as I understood that this would allow me to put ideas into action much more quickly, and shape the world in the way I would like to see it. My first idea was to develop an Iron Farm! This proved to be long, tedious, tiring and ultimately would have taken literally months of constant work to get operational. I realise this wasn't going to work for me, as I didn't enjoy the process and the journey, so I needed another way...
I didn't know it at the time, but I was about to enter an exponential age...
I heard about a drop party happening at spawn hosted by 
NickolasDiamond, and it turned out to be one crazy drop party. Many diamonds were given away to all players in attendance I was very lucky to pick up 4 stacks of diamond blocks! This was a massive amount of diamonds. One of my earlier ideas to generate money was an exchange shop, which would help improve trade across the server and stabilize prices. I hadn't been able to set this up at the time because I didn't have enough starting liquidity to make the shop operate smoothly. However this all changed after the drop party and I decided to open up a shop in the Diamond Mall and use the diamond blocks to fund the operation. At the time, the price of items was not established and I lost stacks of diamonds in the first weeks of trading. However, over time prices began to stabilize and the shop began to turn a profit. I also began to sell enchantment books, which was way more profitable than selling any other items in the game. All profits from enchantment books were invested into the exchange shops, to provide more liquidity for players to trade with.

A few months passed by and my diamond mall shop was going great, and I was getting to know many players across the server. However, I felt that the shop had hit a limit. It could only sell a handful of chosen items and I just felt I could offer more to the server. After some consideration, I decided to embark on a project called the Emerald Mall, which aimed to setup exchange trading for any block in a brand new mall. You can read more about this venture on the Emerald Mall page. This would turn out to be a wildly expensive and time consuming venture, but with the help of the community donations and 
Nofleet, we were able to bring the new mall online after 3 months of construction. The end goal is to remove profit from most shops at the Emerald Mall once maximum liquidity is achieved. A handful of shops will remain in profit mode, to help cover any losses incurred from price movements and to fund any mall expansion projects. Overall I felt this project was a huge success with players from across the server utilizing it every day, and I hope it will continue to do so for years to come. Contrary to popular belief, I do not have stacks and stacks of diamond in my enderchest. Instead, all the diamonds I own are used to keep the Emerald Mall running smoothly, helping players trade.
