Arecibo is a small village founded by Krenath and located at the site of the Test1 admin area, between TwinTowers, Giant Cookie, Xenotopia, and New Atlanta. It is so close to bedrock that bats will actually spawn in the village and fly around. Arecibo has a town library, a town enchanting room with a level 30 enchanting table, an obsidian fountain in the middle, and three houses, two of them unfinished and one made by thesprazzzler. The entire area is surrounded by a forest that rises high above the village.
How to get here
To get to Arecibo, simply /warp New Atlanta, and then walk east on the roads past the ice until you reach the edge of the forest, then take the road down into the village.
History
Arecibo was previously the site of an Admin-only warp called Test1. Test1 was a location Admins used for learning how to use admin-only tools such as WorldEdit and VoxelSniper. At some point in 2011, 
SlowRiot created a hemispherical crater in the ground which left the natural stone, lava, water, obsidian, and bedrock exposed.
Krenath decided in late 2011 to 'terraform' the space rather than leave it an ugly, bare crater. He covered it with grass and trees, build four paths intersecting at a pond in the center, and a few small village-style huts.
