About
The Catholic Church of Freedonia (CCF) is a structured religious organization that spans all across Freedonia, inspired by the hierarchy and traditions of the real life Catholic Church. It serves as both a spiritual authority and a social hub across realms, settlements, and nations.
Founded by
Ervoss &
Hyperluminous in the early morning of May 5th, 2026, the idea is to blend real life Catholicism with MCO.
Theology
Generally, the theology of the Catholic Church of Freedonia is the same as the real life Catholic Church. It should be understood that the Catholic Church of Freedonia is a purely fictional and in-game organization.
Church Tradition
The following subsections will outline the Catholic Church of Freedonia’s unique traditions that differ from that of the real life Catholic Church.
Papal Conclave
- Similar to how it occurs in real life, Papal Elections will occur when the current Pope decides to step down or is completely inactive for 180 consecutive days and a call for a papal impeachment is made.
Papal Impeachment
- In the event that a Pope is inactive for 180 consecutive days (6 months), any Cardinal may call a vote for the removal of a Pope. A simple majority is required. After the removal of a Pope, a papal conclave must occur with a simple majority for the election of a new Pope.
In-game Sainthood
- For a member of the Catholic Church of Freedonia to become an in-game Saint, they must have been banned from the server and the Pope must make a declaration that the member has become an in-game Saint. The criteria that a Pope shall consider before declaring a banned player an in-game Saint is the nature of the ban, and if the player truly upheld the beliefs of the Catholic Church of Freedonia.
How to Become a Member
Any player that is Catholic, Protestant or other, or even just curious is free to become a member of the Catholic Church of Freedonia. Feel free to reach out to any member of the Church to get an invite to our Discord server.

An Archbishop is a Bishop of higher rank or office. Often governing an archdiocese, which typically, but not always, comprises a larger area of individual dioceses. In most cases, there are many archbishops who either have jurisdiction over an ecclesiastical province in addition to their own archdiocese, and some who hold non-metropolitan sees or are otherwise granted a titular archbishopric.

DrJubblee is the Bishop of the Diocese of Sacra City of La Plata.
A Bishop is an ordained member of the clergy who is entrusted with a position of authority and oversight within the Church. Bishops are typically responsible for the governance and administration of dioceses, although some may function as auxiliaries, apostolic administrators, and as titular bishops. Bishops have the ability to ordain Deacons, Priests, and Bishops.

Disclaimer
The Catholic Church of Freedonia (CCF) is a fictional, in-game religious organization created within the MCO Minecraft server. Its purpose is to provide a fun, respectful, and faith-oriented community inspired by the Catholic faith and to share the message of Jesus Christ within the context of the game.
While the CCF is heavily based upon and inspired by the real-life Catholic Church, it is not affiliated with, governed by, or officially recognized by the Roman Catholic Church or any of its dioceses, bishops, or other ecclesiastical authorities.
For the purposes of roleplay and worldbuilding, the CCF may alter, simplify, or create fictional versions of Catholic structures, offices, practices, laws, traditions, and teachings. References to the Pope, bishops, priests, dioceses, the Holy See, Vatican City, canon law, or other ecclesiastical institutions are therefore fictional representations within the game and carry no actual ecclesiastical authority.
The CCF has no intention of mocking, disrespecting, promoting heresy against, or misrepresenting the Catholic faith. All fictional roles, decisions, practices, and teachings are created in good faith and should not be presumed to represent authentic Catholic doctrine, canon law, or practice. When matters of actual Catholic teaching are discussed, the CCF encourages members to consult authoritative sources of the Catholic Church.
