Talk:Project Anubis
Is the Central Nexus finished?
It says here that it is "Currently undergoing development". Is that still the case, or is it now both structurally and functionally complete? MarcelTheHippie 01:20, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- The nexus system is always expanding and new destinations get added over time. There are also the "borderlands hub" pads which currently don't go anywhere. So, functional but not fully complete Anna 28 08:07, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
New Nexus Category
I propose to make a new "Nexus Portal" category to mark all the portal and infrastructure pages that are part of the portal network or describe it. If anyone objects let me know .. if i don't get any -ve feedback I will go ahead with creating the Category and applying it to the pages I think should have it. --bytebasher plays fare 23:54, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
- As long as it doesn't replace the existing categories on the page it sounds fine Anna 28 08:07, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
- Please don't add the category directly to the pages, this isn't needed and I've updated the settlements template page to do it automatically -Anna 28 09:11, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
ok Anna, thanks for that --bytebasher 18:30, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
@Anna
The Nexus pad seems to be located in Sandy Bottom, while Ironguard, Pie Island, and the Cascade Hotel are rather far away, although Ironguard is listed on the pad listing, not sure why. Pie Island, notably is nearly 300 m away from the pad. I think either they should be removed or else the qualifications for nexus linked locations be similarly broad for all other hubs. — Hirudo6
- Have you used that nexus pad? I'm pretty sure it is connected to a desert temple north-west of Sandy Bottom, which is much closer to the Cascade Hotel and possibly closer to Pie Island than Sandy Bottom itself, which you have to take a path/road to get to from the nexus pad. The link was also intended to be used to get to Ironguard and that is why it is listed. -Anna 28 09:11, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- I hadn't at the time, my apologies, and after taking the pad, it seems like the signage and labeling is wrong in that case, isn't it? Cascade Hotel should have the Nexus link (on this page and on the pad itself), while Sandy Bottom, Iron Guard, and Pie Island should be removed, since they are adjacent to a nexus destination rather than a hub. -- Hirudo6
- The pad was created for Sandy Bottom and Irongaurd. The Cascade Hotel and Pie Island were made after the pad was already built. The nearby desert temple was a suitable location for a nexus pad, similar to Acacia Roads. Anna 28 22:03, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- If you insist, I concede. — Hirudo6

Green Versus Lime
on the Live Map the South Nexus hubs are labeled South (Lime) 1, 2, and 3, and the links work to take you to the wiki page for Nexus (aka Project Anubis) but fail to position to the correct sub-section of the page as they are titled South (Green) 1, 2, and 3. I do not know how the map is creating location markers but somehow there is a mis-match between what it has and the wiki page section names. I could just change the wiki page to use Lime in place of Green, but perhaps there is a better way? --bytebasher 13:03, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
- I had noticed this issue too, wiki page updating would probably be best. The Lime is used in the craftbook warps files which is what shows up on the live map and also in /nearestnexus. And the main wool colour is lime wool, not green. -Anna 28 22:12, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
- lime it is then --bytebasher 22:12, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
Tenses and Proper Names
I'm wanting to change the page name to reflect what its really called (most likely 'The Nexus' or 'The Nexus System,' something like that), as well as updating the language of certain passages. Changing the page name seems major to me, which is why I ask first. I'm going to go through with it if there aren't any objections or other suggestions. — Hirudo6
For what it's worth, I agree with Hirdudo, I've never heard anyone call it by anything other than 'The Nexus' and 'The Nexus System'. - Scampi_
The signs on the actual build say Project Anubis iirc. And Nexus already redirects to the page. Anna 28 22:15, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
OK. Well, I don't think its super necessary to change it, it'd just be nice. I'll just go through with the rest of it all and leave the page name for now. -- Hirudo6
