The Keep of the Eternal Tree (also named Torreón del Árbol Eterno) is a Fortification designed primarily as a separate realm, but was integrated as a settlement of the Black Starwalkers on December 15, 2024.

The name of the Keep comes from the only fir tree in the area (located right at the edge of the southern wall) which symbolizes permanence in an ancient world, with the Keep definition coming from the first tower that was done on the Southwest. It's name was a suggestion from getplayerhead.sh?ZJTrayGamingYT&16.png ZJTrayGamingYT, which getplayerhead.sh?Ervoss&16.png Ervoss decided to use.

It's construction is still in development.

History

The earliest record of the beginning of the Keep dates from July 10th, 2024, and it stayed as a short island connected with a chunk border, until it's expansion in order to become a quadrant.

The construction that defined the course of the fortification was a 25-block-high tower begun on May 28, 2024, along with the expansion of the underground ravine and foundations of an old castle which was removed later on. The first walls to be built were the north and west ones, and before their completion, they underwent changes in height and width starting on August 12, 2024.

Pre-BSW Integration

August 13, 2024:

  • getplayerhead.sh?Ervoss&16.png Ervoss designs the non-integrated Keep banner inspired by the only oak tree found in the area

August 29, September 22, October 3th, 20th and 27th, 2024:

  • Construction of the north and west walls continues, a ravine near the territory gets expanded to obtain materials.

Post-BSW Integration

December 15, 2024:

  • Small progress was done until December 15, 2024, when the settlement was integrated into the Black Starwalkers

February 10th, 2025:

  • The width of the north and west walls is increased from one block to three, an arch is constructed in the west wall where a river crosses.

March 13th, 2025:

  • A temporary beacon is added in the corner corresponding to the Keep,

March 24th, 2025:

  • Efforts to terraform the northwest mountain begin, the foundations of the Convent of the Mutilated Face are laid, and a large part of the structure is built.

April 6th and 7th, 2025:

  • Completion of the structure of the convent, consisting of multiple turrets of varying heights; the roofs are adorned with semi-Viking style finishes.

April 9, 2025:

  • Taking advantage of the nearby ravine—which was used to source materials—a storage area is being built

August 18, 2025:

October 2, 2025:

  • The final shape of the walls is established.

February-May 2026:

The construction of the convent's interior, as well as other details of the walls and the decoration of the keep itself, is carried out.

CCF Integration

  • On May 5, 2026, the Keep was incorporated as the permanent and principal settlement of the Carthusians of Freedonia, an order linked to the CCF.
  • As part of this integration, getplayerhead.sh?Hyperluminous&16.png Hyperluminous is permitted to build on the western island.

[Note: Details regarding the construction timeline of the Keep are provided; however, further information is required for its proper registration, and such details will be added in the future.]

Landmarks

Convento de la Faz Trunca/Convent of the Mutilated Face

The first and biggest construction of the Keep excluding the main tower and walls is the Convento de la Faz Trunca. It was meant to be a palace, but it changed to a Charterhouse after some modifications within getplayerhead.sh?Ervoss&16.png Ervoss' lore. The name of the building is a reference of the Convento de la Faz Denegrida, an area in the Blasphemous video game.

The real translation of the convent (Convent of the Mutilated Face) is mainly a reference of getplayerhead.sh?Ervoss&16.png Ervoss' lore (detailing his penitence), referring on this in his book:

  • "Luego de sacudirme de la suciedad, sentí a través de mis dedillos la carne tarazada que tenía por faz, en tormento de haber rehuido del pasado; fuí sorprendido al inferir que había cumplido con dicha consigna, y determiné a olvidar los malos recuerdos, pensamientos y motivos por los que me encontraba tendido.

Hierarchy & Laws

Following the BSW incorporation laws, the Keep follows the applicable laws of the Black Starwalkers, and getplayerhead.sh?ZJTrayGamingYT&16.png ZJTrayGamingYT and the Generals have symbolic perms, however, getplayerhead.sh?Ervoss&16.png Ervoss still has control over the place, which means he's the highest rank inside the Keep, unless it's required to follow getplayerhead.sh?ZJTrayGamingYT&16.png ZJTrayGamingYT's orders. The Keep can get help outside BSW members, and it can accept people as long as they are not enemies of the BSW.
