The Valheimian Council is the system ruling over Valheim. It consists of Mayors and Representatives.

Mayors get elected every 2 months.

The Job of this council is to make sure of the well being of every citizen living in Valheim. It is also responcible of City planning and City events inside the town/region.

Please note that the council is not Town Staff, it has relations with Town Staff's permissions/terms but it is not the same.

Rules

Mayors:

No Mayor that owns another town is allowed to annex the Valheim Region to their town.

No Mayor can take full-on leadership of Valheim on a permanent case.

Mayors get elected every 2 months Mayors can only get run for Mayor twice, if they tend to be elected a third time by reacting on the next election-related post they will not count.

They cannot remove districts.

When they get elected, but they were Town Staff before, they lose their Town Staff role, after they are no longer Mayor, they get it back of course.

When they were a Representative before, they will keep being a Representative during and after their run, because in the end they still have to manage the town including the District as Mayor.

They cannot claim Valheim to have an ethnicity, for example they cannot claim Valheim to be Russian, or German, etc. Valheim is Valheimian.

If a Mayor is inactive in Valheim or generally inactive for over 20 days, a re-election will happen and they will lose their Mayoral status.

Representatives:

Representatives can stay as long as they want unless they resign or if the majority of Valheim citizens want a re-election of representatives.

Representatives have to manage their and only their district, if they influence the other districts too much they will be revoked as representatives and they can run as representative after 2 new elections (= 4 months) happened.

Representatives can run as representatives as often as they want.

Vice-Mayors:

Vice-Mayors can only do big events or any sort of big thing if it comes to how Valheim will be after has to be discussed between the vice mayor and the mayor before making it final.

The Vice-Mayor can only be a vice mayor if they were a candidate of the previous vote and they will lose their title when a new election has ended.

If they influence the Mayors to do what they say, they can get removed of their powers.

They cannot remove districts.

Permissions

Mayors:

  • Announce Events or other things
  • Can place torches around player-built buildings
  • Managing Valheim
  • Managing negotiation of district borders
  • Negotiating permissions (base permissions stay, more permissions can be added but will get removed by the end of their term, perms that are requested the most will become base permissions)
  • Alliances managing
  • They can promote someone (only 1 person) to be Vice Mayor

Representatives:

  • Managing the assigned district
  • Negotiating district borders
  • Planning district events
  • Planning district buildings
  • Negotiating representative permissions

Vice-Mayors:

Pretty much the same thing with Mayor, with the exception that joining alliances or planning events (any of that sort of things) have to be discussed between the 2 before making it final

They can also freely negotiate their terms/rules without the Mayor ofc.

Members

1st vote (31st of May)

Each vote counts for 2 months, then a new vote happens, that's also the time the current Mayors/Representatives will lose their title, meaning that the start of the next vote will be the end of their term.

If a district isn't marked to have a representative in the last election, assume it's the same as the previous election.
