This competition has begun on the 25th day of June, 2014 by xArches. Arches decided that since there was no recent competition since the Summer free build competition that it was time to host another one. Plenty of the other competitions have been expected based on the season. She decided that it was time to do something that has been vaguely hinted at before with the Rube-Goldberg Competition, a Redstone and Craftbook competition.
This competition allows everything from simple redstone machinery to complex craftbook/redstone combinations. The winner's build will be featured behind the Visitor Center at spawn where the other previous competition build winners reside. The builds in the competition will not only be judged on their ascetically pleasing looks but as judged also on the intended functionality of the project.
To get to the competition grounds, head to Spawn, head towards the right of the Visitor Center and step on the teleport pad. Find an empty and unclaimed plot and put your name on it and start building. Keep in mind of all the rules of the competition and keep it clean. Any annoying contraptions will be removed if they cause too much trouble!
Still need another reason to participate in this awesome competition? Word on the block is that the first place winner wins a $20 Steam card as well as other various prizes.
Rules
- Participants cannot build outside of the given area (bordered by a fence, you may edit the fence).
- Participants may not build deeper than 10 blocks down.
- The redstone and craftbook used shouldn't lag the server or be annoying.
- It is recommended you go no higher than 30 blocks up from your plot but you may go higher.
- At no point should your build go over your plot boundaries, above or below ground.
- No redstone or craftbook should extend into/modify other plots
- One plot to a player
Other Information
- Glitchy or abusive builds will be removed by staff.
- Players may request the use of Admin only craftbook ICs for their builds (subject to Admin approval).
- Builds may be edited up until the end date of the competition.
- Glitchy/Abusive/Joke builds will be removed and actions will be taken accordingly by Staff if needed.
- Builds may be moved to private land by admins unless the build contains an Admin-Only IC in the build.
