History

Inception

The schematic for the Giant Cheeto Bag was made by taking 3D model of cheeto bag from sketchfab running it through voxelizer to get json file with locations of all voxels and their colors and then finally running through  bartek_kx's script to get nbt file that can be used in schematica/litematica, that last step was done despite voxelizer being able to save it directly to schematic format as the colors it produced were inaccurate

Project

After making the schematic for 4 different sizes and taking screenshot of it,  bartek_kx shared it on MCO related discord server to  Ghostis_,  SholQut and few others with caption "we need to build this" the size that was agreed upon was the largest of the four, 200 blocks tall, later changed to 190 blocks tall to have to bottom of it above the sea level, as otherwise it wouldn't fit. The location that was decided upon was Dubina.  Ghostis_ contacted dubina staff and got permission to build.

Materials

The build required total of 50770 blocks including:

19554 wool

14136 concrete

3726 terracotta

1508 blocks of iron

750 quartz blocks

606 blocks of gold

Iron and Gold was contributed by  Ghostis_ and  maurermz
Quartz blocks were contributed by  SholQut he accidently crafted all of them into quartz stairs
and all other blocks were contributed by  bartek_kx

Construction

After all materials were gathered, and permission granted. Small temporary storage with automatic player detector locking was set up by  bartek_kx, terrain was terraformed a little and construction begin with  Ghostis_ placing first block at around May 8 2024 11:10 GMT with  SholQut and  bartek_kx also at the site. Construction ended on May 14 2024 21:08 GMT with  Acesrt and  bartek_kx placing last blocks.
