The Town of Life is a settlement owned by The Crusaders and serves as their headquarters. Its primary purpose is to serve as a town where non-malicious, interested, and/or prospecting players who have arrived during Invasions can seek refuge and start their time on the server.

The town is currently under construction, and has been for well over a year now. Upon completion, it is hoped that it shall serve all three of its purposes to great effect.

Purpose

The town's purpose is currently unclear, as much discussion and debate has been had by the leaders of the Crusaders as to the purpose of the group, which would then of course shape the purpose of the town. Initially it was just a place for members of the group to construct homes within an area in an attempt to form a town community for the group. Then, when  Unkle_Genny tried to reform the Crusaders as a specialized, during-Invasions new player assistance group, plans were drafted to turn the town into a place to take said new players, to educate them on the server's workings and provide them a good starting point from which they can move forward with whatever they plan to do on the server. However, seeing as said group reform never really took hold, those drafted plans were similarly never put into effect. In its current state, it lies empty and relatively abandoned, and it has yet to be seen whether or not this will change at any point in the future.

History

The Town of Life was founded some time around May 25, 2019 by  2HNK. It was originally founded with the intention of becoming the headquarters for BLUR, an organization started by 2HNK that never really took off. It was then co-founded by  BlueishRose for the Crusaders, effectively making the town jointly owned by the two organizations in its original concept. BLUR quickly faded from the picture as early Crusaders - such as  VonRiessfeld,  RoyalRoach,  Sebastianawesome,  KingServal, and  Raflamar - began to contribute greatly to the town. Through these contributions, it became fully owned by the Crusaders, and this is still the case to this day.

It is unknown when exactly the town's original construction was halted, but it happened in the months after the initial formation of the Crusaders, when many of their members became inactive as players. Months later, having taken up a more active leadership role in the Crusaders and built a secret base for the group,  Unkle_Genny made a note to eventually revisit the town and start it back up, as he had no part in its original construction and could see it playing a valuable role in the future of the group's operations. Finally, in July of 2020, he gained permission from  2HNK and  VonRiessfeld to restart and spearhead the town and its crowning palace's construction. The Palace's construction was finished on January 6, 2021, and plans for construction within the town itself have yet to be started.

Riess Palace

Riess Palace was originally built by  VonRiessfeld. He terraformed the hill it formerly sat atop, and constructed the entirety of the building's impressively detailed exterior, having had no plans to give it an interior. In July of 2020, he gave  Unkle_Genny permission to construct and interior for it as well as change the surrounding terraformed landscape into what it is now. Unkle also gave the completed palace its current name in honor of the exquisite work done on the palace's exterior by its original constructor.
