Valencia is a small town 800m South of Glenfiddich, founded by mcrane2. It is neighbors with Oakland to the East, and Ravenstown to the West.
History
Upon arrival in Freedonia, MC2 set off in search of unclaimed land to explore and mine. After a days walk from Glenfiddich, he found a small slice of untamed wild he quickly claimed as his own. Building a bunker into the side of a hill, he set up camp quickly and mined valuable resources. Weeks later, a shop was opened to sell his excess tools, weapons and materials from, but the area was still only inhabited by him. To bring in traffic from the nearest warp, a road was carved out that stretched to the shores of the lake outside Glenfiddich. After days of waiting and no one coming, MC2 decided that a town must be constructed to entice people into making the long trek.
Thus, Valencia was born. Simple 7x7 houses were constructed and the area was cleared and remodeled to look attractive and inviting. The result is a natural, unfortified settlement with wide open space, water access and abundant resources.
The Town
Valencia currently has ten homes, a store/armory, a restaurant, public livestock area, and a public garden. The town is fenced off from the surrounding wild and adequately lit to keep unfriendly mobs out while maintaining a look that is easy on the eyes.
Residency in Valencia is granted by permission only. Travelers can either purchase a prebuilt home or buy an empty plot of land. Buyers of pre-constructed houses are entitled to full ownership and modification rights on their homes after sale and all residents can enjoy unlimited access to the local garden as well as store discounts. Non residents are welcome to enjoy what the store has to offer as well as the hospitality of Valencia's citizens, but must acquire build rights in order to construct anything within the town.

Arriving in Valencia
Finding your way to the town is now easier than ever thanks to the combined efforts of bubba_basti, GabiTM and thesprazzzler. When you warp into Glenfiddich, turn right and find the tunnel marked with pink wool. From there, take a quick rail ride to under the lake and to the entrance of Valencia. Residents, be sure to hang onto your cart! Visitors should kindly deposit them in the chest at the end of the track for others to use.
Future Plans
Valencia has a few areas that it struggles and a rework of the town is being developed. Some of these changes include tying the town into the roadway the meets Valencia's eastern border, completing the PVP arena, updating the streets and public buildings in the town, zoning remaining empty lands.
