Started by Xircila and helped by legolopi12345, Novatown is a completely public settlement on the top of a large mesa biome. As of February 21, 2017, Novatown population was 6, on December 16, 2018 it was zero.
History
A New Beginning
When Xircila started out on the server, she had one dream: to start her own town. After announcing her plans to see if any others were interested, she came across legolopi12345, who eagerly wanted to help. She looked on the online server map for a location, looking towards the southern side. After searching for a while, she found a mesa biome. The duo traveled to the location, trying to stick together. They discussed town name plans, and Xircila had two ideas: Charmville, inspired by the nickname of her second-favorite city (Baltimore), and Novatown, inspired by her love of space. They settled on Novatown. After failing at sticking together during the 7,000 block journey to the site, Xircila made it first, and started to make plans for the visitor center. Soon, Xircila finally built it. It wasn't furnished, but it is the first building in Novatown and now declares it is open for new residents.
First Things
Soon after building the welcome center, 
treepuncher755 magically appeared in the town. He proceeded to donate much-needed supplies, including iron, diamonds, and tons and tons of spruce wood. Soon after, Xircila built the Novatown community mine, which lead straight into a cave. Coal was mined, cobblestone was smelted, slabs were crafted, and soon the roads and a future site for a Nexus portal room were all constructed. legolopi12345 went ahead and built a garden by the visitor center, added the public jukebox, the board of residents, the public farm, and the public smeltery.
After some mysterious player-teleporting activity, 
Jatopia became the first resident of Novatown.
Development
legolopi12345 continued building and welcoming new residents. Before long, it looked like a developed town. Annoyed at the inevidable lag, Xircila became less active on the server, but still checks in every once in a while to see how the town is doing. What will happen next? Who knows?
Rules of Novatown
Novatown is completely public for anyone to come and build their home, shop, or public facility. However, we ask for all residents to follow a few simple rules.
- No ugly buildings, please. If you build an ugly building, for example, a cobblestone box, you may leave a sign outside asking for it to be made nicer and the building "team" will fix it up.
- When building, please leave a 3-or-more block gap between your building and anyone else's unless they gave you special permission.
- Do not intrude your building on to the city roads without permission.
- Except under certain circumstances, we do not allow the construction of:
- Animal pens (unless it's for horses)
- Overly huge mansions
- Large gardens
- Farms that aren't well concealed in some way (there's this thing called Shypixel Farms)

Jatopia was the first resident of Novatown.
treepuncher755 was the first ever visitor to Novatown and donated many supplies.
Location
Novatown is located far South, about a 6,500 block walk/swim from the nearest warp, Vizima, and a 1,600 block walk/swim from the nearest Nexus destination, New Louisville.
A Nexus portal was created just outside of the town sometime in 2018.

Current Status
As of February 25, 2017, Xircila has not been on the server. legolopi12345 has still been on every once in a while, but there is no certainty the town will continue.
December 16, 2018 : no sign of recent building and Lewis59 has not finished the rail link.
