Unnamed Villages Program
The Unnamed Villages Program (UVP) is a project led by the Freedonian Historical Society, created in order to document the hundreds of (unnamed) NPC villages scattered across Freedonia. Villages & Villagers were added to Minecraft in beta 1.8, a version that MCO ran on during the summer of 2011. For well over a decade since, villages have become an essential part of server terrain, offering refuge to travelers & traders alike.

General Information
- By default, any unowned/unclaimed villages documented here will be automatically claimed by the Historical Society solely for preservation, although they will be freely given to players upon request (as long as they don't intend on removing the settlement from the map outright.)
- When registering an unnamed village, the historian on-hand is encouraged to place torches on the inside of unlit village buildings, in order to prevent hostile mobs from spawning. (Please place them tactfully so they look natural, instead of just on the floor or a random part of the wall.)
- After registering a village, signs should be placed on the entrance of each path/dock/roadway leading into the village. These signs must state the name/number of the village, as well as the owner (if applicable)
Example:
Line 1: Now Entering
Line 2: Village VL-167
Line 3: Owner:
Line 4: NightSteak9
Naming Guidelines
While anyone is welcome to name an NPC village whatever they like, using actual names for every generated village could take those names from a future, real settlement that might have actually wanted to use them. For this reason, unnamed villages will follow a numbered format, examples can be seen below-
VL-150 (150th documented village)
VL-126-Z (126th documented village, which happens to be a zombie/abandoned village variant)
(Note- numbering will begin at 099, so that every village has a 3 digit number)
